Formed in early 2017, Broomhead have gigged regularly around
Manchester honing their tunes and building up to the release of their
first recording Petrichor (Part I). It is the first part of a two part opus that will include 8 tracks in total.
The band consists of – Singer/songwriter Dave Broomhead (vocals,
guitar and mandolin) Stuart Bray (guitar, vocals) Gareth Daniel
(piano, synths, vocals) William Ellis (bass) and Ash Chopra (drums,
percussion). All members having extensive and varied experience in
the music scene in a broad range of musical genres.
Taking influences from band such as R.E.M, Counting Crows and Paul
Weller, Broomhead have created a sound that fuses; Rock, Blues,
Folk and Country with the eclectic backgrounds of its members
b ringing in a wide range of other influences, from soul, funk, jazz and
everything else in between. In recent months the band have taken a break from gigging to focus on the recording Of Petrichor and worked with Pete Troughton at Studio Studio to produce a record they are all incredibly proud of which was released physically at their sold out launch event on 18 th November and via digital outlets on 19th November
