Biography

Having performed since the age of three, the 22-year-old singer songwriter has cultivated a passionate, free-flowing, and evocative tone alongside a powerful stage presence. Her lyricism is coloured with themes of self-reflection, honesty, and soul. Directly influenced by the likes of Lauryn Hill, Jorja Smith, Jamiroquai & Yebba, a luscious blend of soul, R&B, jazz-funk, and acid jazz manifest in her harmonies, melisma, and jazz cadence.

Featuring on BBC Introducing Northwest and catching the attention of Jools Holland & Ruby Turner on a charity single cover of ‘Peace in the Valley’, Lydia Reece continues to establish herself as a dedicated and driven female artist in the Liverpool music scene.
