Jon1st could be best described as a 'DJ's DJ': a selector able to simultaneously capture a crowd with his upbeat selection of tracks crossing numerous tempos and styles across the alternative bass music spectrum while incorporating technical skills developed in his background as a competitive turntablist without breaking the flow of his mixes. In one of his sets you might hear a Flying Lotus record juxtaposed with a Scientist track, contemporary footwork beats blended with 90's hip hop, or scratching sprinkled over dancehall.

In the last two years alone he has played at established festivals such as Bestival, The Big Chill, The Edinburgh Festival, Shambala, Soundwave Croatia and Strawberry Fields and has previously been booked to open up for acts such as Daedalus, MF DOOM, Mosca, DJ Vadim, Africa Hitech, Om Unit, Qbert, DJ Craze, Araabmusik, LV, Lord Finesse, The Herbaliser, DJ Format, ARP101, Spectrasoul, Mickey Pearce, Debruit, Tokimonsta, Alexander Nut, Luke Vibert, Kidkanevil, Lorn, Illum Sphere, Kromestar, Doc Daneeka, Ghost Mutt, Mr Thing, Kutmah, Gang Colours, Flako, The Nextmen, Free The Robots, DJ Woody, Aries, Mike Gao, Randomer, Two Inch Punch, Blue Daisy, Reeps One, DJ Switch, Buddy Peace, Fingathing, Sweatson Klank...
