Celebrating Yorkshire Food and Drink in the historic city of York. The 2013 York Spring Festival runs from the 1st to the 2nd of June 2013 in the centre of York, showcasing local Yorkshire produce and home grown chefs. Wander around producer markets, spanning the length of Parliament Street, and be enticed by home-grown Yorkshire meats and vegetables, along with farmhouse cheeses and artisan breads to name a few. Taste samples from stalls, including seasonal asparagus and ripe strawberries. Or, sit in the bar or cafe and enjoy a local ale or glass of wine from our bars. There will also be chef demonstrations in our Demo Tent from festival favourites such as Nick Evans of Middlethorpe Hall and Rob Porter from the Green Room in Scarborough and a chance to fundraise for York Children’s Hospital. The Spring Festival is set to launch the September 2013 York Food Festival theme ‘Food and Science’ with a bang! Find out more as the festival goes on.
