Mud fields!
Overall rating: 4.5

Had a fab time, even the mud didnt ruin what was a great event. Lots of things going on, my hightlights were Paul Van Dyk and Paul Oakenfold. I found it abit to commercial but is still a great event.

Unreal Weekend!!!
Overall rating: 4.5

What an absolute amazing weekend. Chemical Brothers where the highlight for me the whole show music, ligths crowd was unbelievable. The rain was not stopping us. we stomped on. After loosing a phone a rain coat and somehow ending up with 2 right wellies it can pnly be said that Creamfields 2011 was the best ever! Even the shops were rocking the tunes. Cant wait for next year already

Definatly a must do festival, take minimal stuff and go prepared to get messy and not live in any sort of luxuary, but thats what festivals are about anyway, brilliant music and a wide variety. some of the big names were so packed it ruined it a bit but some of the less well know acts were better anyway, definatly reccomed to every1

Menzy and Alan do Creamfields!!!!
Overall rating: 4.5

Absolutely awesome night/day! The day started with a walk around the Bench tent then a wonder over to Annie Mac Represents. A few drinks in the sun warming up for Major Lazer on the Main Stage who were fantastic and later a brilliant set by Calvin harris. As good as he was, we had to leave Calvin behind to make sure we got ourselves into the thick of it for Sweedish House Mafia. What a brilliant idea that turned out to be..... SHM can only be described as PHENOMINAL. All the right sounds, all the right pyros, all the right people. It was without a doubt the night of my life!!!

Creamfields 2011 will have alot to live up to, but I know I will be there to find out.

Peace.

Creamfields 2010
Overall rating: 4.5

My first Creamfields camping experience. Brill but take half the stuff you think you need or go with a few of you and not on your tod. My own fault, I know taking too much stuff but when your told its only a short way, 100m I think they said, from carpark to campsite that must be the shortest distance as most distance can be upto and close to a mile across the rolling hills of the Daresbury estate i think they need to let people know that. I'd probably only do it again if I had someone with me.

Tent up and knackered already it was off to the arenas. Found myself camped out in the Cream Bench arena for the most of my time both days and didnt see any trouble as I stayed from middle to back of the arena. In fact I never saw any trouble all weekend but looking at the previous review there must have been some. I had a great time and was lucky enough to not have to experience it I suppose.

So knackered from the early start and the dragging of too much stuff to my eventual campsite, I could not physically keep my eyes open by half eleven on the Saturday so decided I had best make my way back to my tent. Gutted at missing Ferry and Armin and hugely disapointed at the singalonga Guetta (why do some DJs turn the music down to hear the crowd so much?) I thought they will be back again or I will catch up with them one day. Correct decision on the whole as the Sunday was a long one.
Sunday was a struggle getting out of my tent as the rain and wind buffetted in all directions but it died down and then I was offski. Cream tent again was brilliant but I wanted to go and see a few more and as Im gonna see PVD at Nation next month I gave him a miss and had a wander.
I wanted to catch up and see some GoodGreef Showtek, Alex Kidd b2b Kutski and hopefully Lisa Lashes too but I was so knackered and the tent was on the steepest part of the site I couldnt manage a bounce at all.
I was pacing myself all day Sunday with one eye on my haulage task on the Monday.
I popped to see Tiesto and he was the best I have heard at the Main Stage as the sound/acoustics generally stink there but I didnt want to miss Leftfield so I only caught twenty mins of him on the basis that I will catchup with the guy in an indoor venue whereas it would be unlikely I get another opportunity to Leftfield as Im out when they are coming to Liverpool and I am unlikely to get to see them again being an old fart. Loved them and it was a fine end to a great couple of days music. Cos Tiesto was on the tent was only half full so thoroughly knackered laid down with my feet up at the back of the tent listening to Leftism worked on every level for me.
I have to mention Sasha. What an pleasure it was to have been treated to his presence. He is incredible. In a world where so may mix and revamp classic choons its so refreshing to listen to music and sounds you just havent heard before. Long may you reign.

Other notables outside of the supreme cream tent where the Chibuku tent with Raresh and Sven Vath. I could have easily spent the rest of the night there if I didnt have plans for Leftfield. I will catch up soon I promise.

Back in tent and slept well due to my earphones and MP3 keeping me company. I got up reasonably early and hauled most of my stuff back to the car. Challenge completed successfully.

Hope this helps anyone going to next years event. :) xxx

Serious security issues!!
Overall rating: 3

This was my 5th Creamfields festival and will be my last!

Everywhere i went there seemed to be fighting and the security staff were unwilling to get involved. It was left to the crowds to break up and i even got knocked to the ground by some brawlers during Jon O'callahans set. You had to have eyes in the back of your head!.

Me and my friend were followed most of Saturday night by a group of lads not wearing any wristband so had obviously broke in. They kepts asking us personal questions about how many people were in our group and where we were staying etc. When the gig ended we didnt want to walk to the car ourselves incase anything happened to us so we reported it to the police who just said we were paranoid!! I mean whats going on!! if you have a problem surely the police are there to help!!

In the end even though we were only day ticket holders we walked to the campsite with some friends that were staying for the full weekend and were surprised to find there was NO security on the gate anyone could walk into the campsite area unchallenged (including the guys with no wristbands that were still lingering around behind us!!)

Once we got in the campsite we were met by utter carnage!! We were trying to find security but so was 5 people who had been seriously beaten up when their tents were robbed. One guy was hit over the head with a crowbar and slashed with a knife when he was woken up by theives in his tent!! We waited 20 mins from a security guy reporting these incidents to the police to them getting to the campsite to help! They didnt seem to be in any rush to help even the seriously injured people!

After an hour of nagging at the police in the pouring down rain they finally agreed to walk me and my friends back to my car. Even my friends who had paid for a full wknd ticket came home with us on the Saturday after what they had seen. The group that had been following us were waiting at the exit but the police couldnt do anything as they technically hadnt done anything wrong. They were just told to leave site for not having wristbands. In the car park we must have walked past 10 cars that had windows out where they had been robbed.

And you have to laugh at the police who released a statement saying there were no serious incidents during the festival!!

This festival has MAJOR security issues! It seems to have got worse from previous years not better! Its always been rough compaired to Global Gathering but this year was beyond belief!

Id definately think twice before camping in the standard section and make sure you go in big groups if you go at all!!

SORT IT OUT CREAMFIELDS!!

We only went to Creamfields for 1 day but what a day it was! The line up was fab Ferry Corsten and Eddie Halliwells ED IT set were my highlights! Ive been to creamfields a few times at Speke and i always felt like i was about to be stabbed!! The atmosphere at the new site seems far less intimidating! Will be back this year!!

Wot a waste of money i thought Creamfields this year was terrible, poor sound system, poor sized tents, poor location. Move it bac t speke and get rid of the camping, it feels as if its all been squashed in t one the festival, camping and car park its way to small and way to many people! This is my third time at creamfields and my last.

First time at creamfields. Loved the whole weekend. I thought the sound systems were poor especially on the main stage and mixmag stage because i could talk to a friend without raising my voice and hear clearly. I wasnt right at the front for these parts but the music should have been a lot louder. I agree about the chavvy scousers. the djs were awesome though, loved the music had enough choice and had to pick between different stages at times. the sunday night could have carried on til 12 or 1, maybe even 2am.

Waist of money for the VIP
Overall rating: 3

We went for the 1st time and got the VIP tickets, what a waist of money we had to line up with all the other people and there was not even a area for us in front of the stage that is separate from the rest...
I will not go again if the VIP is that rubbish.

More uplifting music

Wondering if any1 can shed some light on rumours of someone dying through being squashed and dying in the main tent.just a rumour I heard from some1 I was talking to???. Also, I think creamfields needs a bit of happy hardcore/harcore trance thrown into the equation!! Musics a little tiresome and slow at times!! Found myself standing about waiting for a decent beat to kick in for what seemed like an age!!! I'm sure there's others who agree!! Personally I like to come out of a dance event pumping with sweat, don't think i hardly broke into sweat at creamfields, due to the fact the music was a little slow. Maybe I've been to too many raves.(come on djs, bring a few more uplifting, fast beats to ur music!!) can only make things better!!

More security guards by the stage!
Overall rating: 4

In general, it has almost all the dance artists to choose from - if I have a choice, I would love to see them all. I think it's quite well organised but it's a fair bit to walk from car park to camp site. Also, the £12 parking was unexpected although we were given the answer that the fee was stated on website but we didn't seem to have noticed that on the website. There was one trouble from Tiesto show when this guy and his girl friend were trying to push in to be next to the barrier in the front but there were adequate security guards to warn him off. However, this wasn't the case when we were in the dome for Paul van Dyk's show because there were not enough security personnel. When I was in the front next the barrier, a perverted guy pushed behind me to be so keen to stretch his hand out in front of my face to take video. At this point, I have to signal my stocky male friend over to stand behind me as I couldn't find a security guard at all. So, it's quite unfortunate for a woman to stand right next to the barrier in the front if she is being pushed against it.

Overall rating: 4

My only complaint is the distance we had to walk from the shuttle bus to where we camped. My other observation would be i would like to have seen a seperate entrance to the event for campers.

I never saw any violence or peope bein wankers although i did hear the odd story and bottles of piss flyin through the crowds in the main stage isnt the kind of thing that made me wanna hang about there.

Loved the music and loved the atmosphere.

Creamfields 09
Overall rating: 3

My third time at Creamfields. Didn't see any trouble myself although others in my group did, there were a lot of trackies about. I don't expect a festival feeling at Creamfields - more of a rave. The only thing to disappoint me was the distance I had to walk from the car to getting camped up and it was through empty fields which we camped in last year. I arrived at 1.30 and didn't get through security and pitched up till 4.30 a total pain in the ass. We had a 20 minute walk to the arena which is just too far and took the shine of the weekend, also parking at £12 and then having to walk through empty fields is a joke. Other than that the DJ's were fantatic!!!!

I have to agree that the organisation for this event is a shambles!! Toilets were sparse and disgusting, the parking fees were a joke!! I paid £60 for a ticket.the least I expect is somewhere to park for the night.when I did get picked up at 4 off the taxi, got about 50 feet before a dirty pin headed scouser opened his big mouth."drag him out,the black bastard"it's tossers like this that make me think,do I want to associate with this scum at these festivals.it was a joke getting in the place due the queues, and a joke getting out.in the tents if you as much looked at some of the scum there,u would get eyeballed then they'd be on the phone, most likely calling for there tosser mates! Just didn't feel at ease!!longer the event went on,worse it appeared to get!! Maybe just me,but my mate got the same vibe aswell

Thought it was fair awesome! A few bad moments, like the sickening smell of the toilets but they were a lot cleaner than I thought they would be.. The DJ's were all immense! Thought it was a bit stupid that they changed the times but they must have their reasons. I would deffinately go again! Just a bit more prepared.. more food etc! And a better way to carry everything but overal a good experience.

Overall rating: 2

This is possibly the worst oorganised event i have been to. i will definetly not be attending again, it was the biggest let down and waste of money yet. We paid £175 for hospitality/VIP camping only to arrive to the exact same standards as the normal camping. so what was the extra £70 for? a disgusting free meal and luxury toilets which turned out to be portaloos?? the organisation was a joke, no stewards had any answers for any questions asked. David Guetta apprently cancelled and then appeared an hour later to which most of us missed out on even though we had paid money to see him as the main attraction!there was no where near enough policing and complaints about the quality of this apprent hospitality camping is to be made!! waste of time, waste of money, i hope they loose out in sales next year.

Disappointing
Overall rating: 3

This is the 3rd time Ive been to Creamfields. The night started off well though appeared to deteriorate into Im the hardest Scouser/Scally competition. I witnessed two fights in the actual tents, and about three outside. One poor lad accidentally backed up into a sitting group of tracksuit wearing hooded scum, apologised, only for one to jump up and smack both the lad and his mate in the face - then offer everyone out who turned to watch!!

It really was a sad affair this year, partically due to the fact the Ts & Cs clearly stated No Tracksuits and there were signs up leading to the entrance stating exactly the same, though no one seemed to care. It appeared the primary interested was to get as many people in as possible to make as much money back.

The tents were so crowded around mid-night that you couldnt even move your arms. It didnt help that Scouse wanna-be gangsters though they had the right to literally push people out of the way in order to move about, only to wait for a reaction before offering to knock someone or as one hoody wearing low-life shouted to a guy "Ill fuuuucking kill ya, walk away now or Ill fuuucking kill ya".

Not the atmosphere I wanted to pay almost £60 for or that I have experienced in the past when at Creamfields. To me this year seemed very commercialised, with no crowd control and a complete under-estimation of the numbers who would likely be in each tent.

Never again!

Police training sniffer dogs to remove Scouse scum
Overall rating: 3.5

Congratulations Creamfields. A fairly well organised event despite David Guetta stopping the tunes cos the arena was rammed. We knew there'd be a scouse presence.. and quite rightly as it's close to Liverpool. We saw 3 fights in the space of half an hour. Spotty skinny lil scousers, chip on the shoulder, far from the gangsters they think they are. Especially as their money had ran out by 7pm. Girls, I feel sorry for you having to mingle with these pencil neck freaks. Funny you never see them in Amnesia !

Anyway, amazing night. Absolutely incredible atmosphere in the main arena.

CreamFields '09

I'm 60 and have always kept in touch with dance/club music since the 1960's.. I get a few funny looks at events these days at my age but I don't have any problems because I'm 6' 2" and 16 stone and look like a cockney gangster.I take the point about the little scouser nasal dwarfs though.A good punch on the nose when they were kids would have done them all a world of good and made them realise how far down the hard-knock ladder they really are. Anyway yesterday was good and well organised apart from the weather and the total power blackout outside the venue afterwards,, you could'nt see dick... Calvin Harris' voice was the best I've heard it(not normally his strongest point),Dizzee Rascal was really pumped up because his album reached No 1 (displacing Calvin Harris)and Basement Jaxx were worth their money. In the Marquees Paul van Dyk and all the dj's launched into it.. I missed Deadmau5 though dammit..

Been to creamfields twice now along with numerous hardcore raves.one continuous problem that continues to pop up at these events is the number of tosspots that seem to congrigate in gangs, throwing water bottles in to crowds, putting cigs dimps in peoples hoods, and generally trying to intimidate people who are just there for the music.without trying to generalise to much,it always seems to be loudmouth, ignorant scousers. They seem to think that they have a right to not queue up,and act like idiots causing trouble wherever they go.if it was up to me I would ban the lot of them from future events! I've stopped going to rave parties because of the hassle I get from them.I'm sure I'm not the only person to have had the same problem
