Church Choir did carols for half an hour too. fantastic crowd. I liked the "music supper" .I had the chilli and a pint for £10 and my guest the venison caserole. they were both delicious and plenty of it. If anything it was a little too warm , there were roaring log fires out the front and with 80 or so people seated in the room at the back for the folk music it did get a bit too warm...better than cold I suppose. Beers. Liked the 5 gold Rings and the Winter Solstice. The Larkins was poor in comparison

theexile Wannabe Offline Points:120 Posts: 6	Monday club Overall rating: 4 The Pub has been almost complete renovated from the last time I went a year ago. The beer was stunning, I had the Chestnut Stout and Skrimshander but there were six others to choose from. £2.50 per pint ! Curry. £2.50 starters and £7.50 mains. The starters were super, they even offered for me to have a mix as I could not make my mind up. All the samosas were made on the premises. They cam,e with a very tasty but small coconut, garlic and chilli dip. Yum Curry. A tad on the small side but I am a big eater. It more than made up for quantity with quality. I had the fish and it came with beautifullly cooked rice and paratas Drinks served to the tables and I was danced on all evening. A good night out for £15 including drinks. Some live music would have improved it, but there were only 30 or so there and I suppose that cannot be justified. All in all a great night out for a Monday and Ill be back.
