AllisonWalter Wannabe Offline Points:32 Posts: 1	Zoot Money at Worthen Village Hall Overall rating: 3 Disappointing; didn't engage with the audience and felt Zoot was doing us a favour by being there! Felt as though they were just jamming and not really performing; only time the audience lit up was "walk the dog"; the saxophonist was the best performer.Conversely, Ruby and Rockets as support were terrific from the word go - they should have been the main band! Would go and see them again but not Zoot, sadly

lplummer Wannabe Offline Points:18 Posts: 1	slim chance cracking gig, and worth the wait (35 years) and the trip (300 miles)... the band got it spot on...nothing over-sentimental or mawkish...did what they said on the tin..no tribute band type stuff...no Ronnie impersonations.....just have a good time! Charlie and Steve carried the show through....didn't need 5 leaders...chicken wired was amazing, along with just about all the second set....could have kept Roll on Babe simple, and Lad's got money could have been left out...but that's being picky! Thanks boys for a triffic night....do it every year :-)

Lowerbuckton Wannabe Offline Points:18 Posts: 1	Slim Chance @ Worthen Village Hall in Shropshire Overall rating: 5 Shropshire rocked last night to the sounds of Slim Chance playing Ronnie Lane... Great evening with original and unique film footage of Ronnie and the boys screened against the wall before the band started to play. Big Nev's specially brewed beer was a sell out and the band played on..... A treat to catch up and have a squeeze with the lovely first, original Slim Chance band member Steve Bingham. Still a cool cat after all those years! Charlie Hart's accordion played in my ears all the way home....! Worthen was a fitting venue for the band's inaugural gig - after all, the area is the scene of the birth of Ronnie's Slim Chance music ......

We didn't want Dr Freegood to stop playing as we were rocking around the dance floor by the end. Dr Freegood played with such vigour and energy-they were brilliant!

riverside Wannabe Offline Points:14 Posts: 1	riverside's Review of Geno Washington + The Ram Jam Band + Smoke Like a Fish at WORTHEN VILLAGE HALL Overall rating: 4.5 Smoke Like a Fish were energetic, loud and entertaining. Geno and the band were extremely professional; they kept us dancing all the time. The village hall was a cosy venue; a little warm on a summer's night.

carolinerowla nds Wannabe Offline Points:14 Posts: 1	carolinerowlands's Review of 'Eddie + The Hot Rods plus Hot Rod 55' at WORTHEN VILLAGE HALL Overall rating: 5 Seen Eddie and the Hot Rods many times, usually at their northern gigs - and this was one of the best! They had apparently not long since arrived back from New York but you wouldn't have known - great stuff!! More northern dates please???
