The venue is located just off Cowgate opposite the NEW Post Office. With our beautiful decor and cosy surroundings we offer something for everyone, not only do we cover every kind of LIVE sporting action but also we have the best in Comedy Nights, Karaoke and Quizzes plus we have a very tasty and in-expensive menu that will suit everyone’s taste buds and budgets. Opening Times of the Sports Lounge; Monday to Wednesday – 11.00am to 3.00pm | 6.00pm to 11.00pm Thursday – 11.00am to 3.00pm | 6.00pm to 1.00am Friday – 11.00am to 3.00pm | 5.00pm to 2.00am Saturday – 11.00am to 2.00am Sunday – 12.00pm to 11.00pm Food @ The Sports Lounge; We offer a fantastic Lunchtime Menu with something for everyone. The quality of our food is amazing and tastes divine and the ‘prices are even cheaper than Ronald! Our Lunchtime menu is served Monday to Friday from 11.00am until 3.00pm and then at the weekend from 11.00am until 5.00pm (approx). We also have our amazing snack and match platters serving you various items which you can munch on while watching the game. These menus are available from 6.00pm everyday Monday to Sunday, so if you just fancy a nibble or a filling lunchtime meal we have it here for you... Plus we promise to have your meal on your table within 15 minutes from you serving it at the Bar. Sports @ The Sports Lounge; We show all the best LIVE sporting action from across the world on our amazing HD TV screens through our High Definition technology and pumped through our ‘right-here’ surround-sound system. Whatever sport you are into we guarantee we will be showing it here LIVE, plus with our amazing technology we can show 3 different games or events at the same time, so no more just watching one game in a venue and having to put up with it, we show 3 different games and sports at the same time !!! Look out for next Football season where we will be showing all the Italian League games LIVE on Sunday’s plus every Saturday afternoon from 3.00pm we will be showing LIVE Premiership football with a pick of the weekend’s games shown LIVE. Also next season we will be showing re-runs of every Peterborough United game 24 hours after the match, showing the FULL 90 minutes, in every league and domestic cup competition, if you love POSH believe us this will be the best place for Peterborough United Football. Comedy @ The Sports Lounge; We host our monthly LIVE Comedy Nights on the first Friday of each month featuring some of the finest comedians on the circuit. We have some of the best people who have featured on Paramount Comedy, Jongeleurs, London Comedy Club and other well established Comedy Clubs across the UK. We will keep you posted with all the dates and acts that will be appearing LIVE at The Sports Lounge via our website at www.thesportslounge.uk.com . These events will always be a all-ticket do and will cost in the region of £8.00, you can pay on the door on the night for these but admission will be £10 for this, get your pre-tickets for these prestigious events at The Sports Lounge over the bar. The events start around 9.00pm and last for around 2 hours, we have some amazing comedians booked so make sure you keep your eyes out for all the up and coming events, only at The Sports Lounge. Starting in June 2009 we will be having our weekly ‘Comedy Legends’ nights on Wednesday night with all the best comedians from around the world over the past 50 years featured on our weekly programming shown through our High Definition TV’s, a definite watch for all you comedy fans. Karaoke @ The Sports Lounge; We host our weekly Karaoke shows at The Sports Lounge Saturday night from 9.00pm until 2.00am with our amazing hosts. The nights have proved to be such a success in their own right with crowds of people coming down from 9.00pm to take part in the festivities of the evening, with crowds singing and queuing up to sing these nights are just the ticket if you want a night with no stress and just FUN FUN FUN ... Quizzes @ The Sports Lounge; From around the end of July 2009 we will be holding our weekly Sunday night Quiz nights with our quizmaster asking various questions from the world of Sport, Entertainment, Films, TV and Showbiz. We at the Sports Lounge didn’t want to do a boring quiz with General Knowledge so we are doing all the FUN things, so if you have a group of you make sure you get down and enjoy the evening, there will be loads of prizes to be won plus loads of drinks offers to boot. Booking The Sports Lounge; If you have a private party like a birthday, leaving party or team night out at work we can cater for you by either booking a reserved section for you all the TSL or by booking the whole venue for the night, the best thing is booking The Sports Lounge is absolutely FREE OF CHARGE to book out, we can cater for around 85 people, so even if it is a small group we can cater for you even though most of the palaces can’t.
