This was a great night and the music was utter filth. A shame to see the end of Shore Street but this went out with a bang.

Armin was as ever, brilliant.

Such a massive venue, and as always....wherever Armin goes, his crowd follows....tinned sardines squashed in a vice is an understatement

Apart from that awesome night!

Modeselektion + Numbers @ WHP, December 2011
Overall rating: 4

Skream's 130 bpm set was interesting to hear and it was evidently refreshing for the dubstep don to drop more techy material. Boddika & Joy O's "Swims" hit stupidly hard.

Deadboy, followed by Jackmaster, followed by Hudson Mohawke in Room 2 was potentially the highlight of my 2011. The state a room gets into when "Ultra Thizz" by Rustie is dropped needs to be experienced.

Modeselektion @ Warehouse Project 11-12-2011
Overall rating: 4

Following the announcement of Warehouse Project staying on Mancunian soil for the 2012 season, Berlin duo Modeselektor returned to Store Street for the final UK date of their Monkeytown tour, bringing with them a strong and forward thinking support including a Room 2 takeover from Glaswegian label Numbers.

Skream warmed up the main room either side of midnight with a rare 130BPM set showcasing the evolution of his original dubstep sound. He was followed by the eclectic staggered rhythms of Squarepusher, sporting a mask which made the man himself part of the intense lights show. Squarepushers set built to a ferocious intensity at a high tempo that was met with great acclaim by the Warehouse revellers.

Four Tet took to the 1s and 2s after a brief interlude and kicked off his set with a comparatively calm piece to allow the crowd to readjust before dropping a marching tech drumline to take the night in a new direction towards Modeselektors live set. His solid selections were nothing less than what you would expect from a very well suited Warehouse resident.

Modeselektors tour rider insists that the master volume of the acts playing before them is turned down before they start, so when they took to the stage their presence had instant impact. They opened with the lead single of their new album Monkeytown, Pretentious Friends. The polished basslines were fully felt by the crowd and the questionable lyrics on the record could not be deciphered through the height of the bass. As the set developed, the atmosphere was as ripe as it has ever been underneath the Piccadilly Arches and the sound settled into a more typical yet high impact Warehouse sound. The highlight of the set was Blue Clouds, from the new album, which electrified the room instantly.

Pearson Sound, aka Ramadanman, followed with a percussive and bass intense set for the final stretch of the night. His selections packed attitude and punch that was a perfect round off for a night that will be rendered a highlight of the season.

Slightly Unexpected
Overall rating: 4

Despite the line-up, i felt the best acts were Derrick Carter & Frivolous.
This, combined with the rest of the minimalistic acts that night created an ambience unforgotten to this date :) x

Sick night!
Overall rating: 4

WHP always squash one too many people in but eventually found enough room to move!

What can i say about the music... no-one can even touch carl cox & sven vath, they both absolutely smashed the back doors of Warehouse in & had everyone rocking until the lights came on!!

Drinks are average. Could do with some more toilets but overall brilliant night!! One of the best ive been to at Store street!!

WHP: 17/12/11 Sasha
Overall rating: 3

We arrived outside the venue at 1:05am after traveling all the way from Edinburgh to see Sasha, are train was late but we were super excited to be going to the WHP to See Sasha as we have done for the last 4 years, only to find out that the door had closed at 1am ant the door staff would not let us in. There was 5 of us in total, 3 ladies and 2 gents... We tried to explain our situation but the door staff where not interested and extremely rude, to the point where the head doorman pushed my girlfriend and she fell. Not what we expected at all from a supposed professional. With that a police man approached us at the door and he even agreed with our case but said the police could not get involved, fare enough. It did not have a last admission time on the tickets as I look at them again to check, and because it was open till 5am we thought we would have no problem getting in, if we had known there was a last admission time we would have got a much earlier train to make sure we'd arrived in plenty time. This was a case of seriously bad communication from the event and ticket sellers. This upset 5 people and ruined our whole weekend and I don't think we where treated fairly and the door staff were rude and barbaric in their treatment towards us, especially the ladies in our company. All in all a large disappointment from the WHP, not what we expected as we have been coming down since the start and have never been treated this way before. From what we could hear from outside the Music was amazing and know how good the venue is from previous years and if we had be let in, I know I'd be writing a very different review... Disgusted with the way we were treated and don't think we'll go to the WHP again.

A f*****g superb night out. Sasha blew the place apart. WHP just keeps on delivering, time after time. What a shame it has to move. Best night out this year. Great people, rocking tunes, and 'Gabriel' dropped just at the right moment. Thank you sasha, Pete and WHP for an awesome night. Xx

great night
Overall rating: 4.5

fantastic night.. It was pretty packed out,as the review above says, but to be expected to be honest, maybe it would've been less so if the other room was open, but they couldn't really do that with only having a few djs on. Feed me was amazing, Skrillex really great too. Love the warehouse project, have been a few times now, the venue will be a hard one to replace...if that's the plan?
Only thing that annoyed me was seeing two guys who weren't from the Uk try and buy a drink with an ID card that they'd obviously been allowed in with, but the bartenders were rejecting because their manager didn't allow them. These guys were told to bring a passport..unlikely that you'd bring a passport out with you to this!!
Also, one of the bouncers was really ****y on the way in. we were just queuing quietly and he was a bit of a tosser..
