Didn't appreciate the large amounts of ambient noise and delayed mixes on what was essentially a club night - could have been so much more vibrant! (Skuba and Damu were really quite special though...perhaps Nico shoulda played downstairs | ||||||||||||||

His 10 minute intro soothed what could have been an angry, jostled crowd, almost sending everyone into a trance. His set was blended so well together it passed by in no time, bringing Variations in at a couple of times at different points made time seem much shorter, like it was one long song. Even though his album and most EP's have been quite chilled, the crowd was really energetic, but in a positive way. All in all, good set, good crowd, great gig. | ||||||||||||||

Unlike DnB, you can keep up with breaks and the testosterone levels are lower. low down and dirty provides the best breaks in Manchester, no question. | ||||||||||||||

Overall rating: This is my third visit to Sound Control, and to be honest, the previous two visits were a lot better than this one. It was full of very young kids, who had way too much booze than they can handle. I lot of girls falling all over the place, walking into us, some dodgy guys in there. All our party felt there was an atmosphere in there! We stayed to watch Azari then left by 2.30 am. Was really looking forward to this night but was let down by the idiots in there! It won't stop me from going to another night at Sound Control, but better luck next time guys! PS you need air con in the top floor!! | ||||||||||||||
