Saki Bar Manchester reviews by real event-goers

Rain didn't stop play

Could of been a few more in but I put that down to there being a lot of clashes, bad weather and the venue's recent refurbishment and re-opening.

This said the music was top notch, everyone played a stormer and the vibe was electric.

Next event will be a cheap as chips affair with free shots on entry! See you there...

What a night!!!!!!

Excellent night! Music fantastic, people fantastic. Dj's were having a wicked time and really had the crowd in the right place at the right time all night.

GASH sound was excellent. In general MASSIVE night. Definatly recomended

Hit&Run vs Hoya;Hoya - NYE @ Saki

It was an awesome night only to be let down by the venue suddenly springing an early closure on us.... we will never return to Saki again, and are EXTREMELY sorry to all those who had their NYE's compromised by that....

Thanks to the majority if you who had a great time regardless, and were so positive despite the mishap...

If anyone wants to get in touch so we can make amends PLEASE PLEASE DO - we will do everything we can to smooth things over...

We did a free event on the 8th Jan @ Roadhouse as part of our apology....

Great way to see in 2010!

There were a few queueing issues but once inside it was wicked! Music was incredible, atmosphere was your normal hit&run friendly feel, great night all round!

I am completely disappointed with the night. And I've promised myself to not go to any of hit and run events' anymore as tell every people that the organiser of the event are taken the piss of the people that want to go for a nice night. As I spoke with the manager of the Saki Bar, he said to that he hired the place till 3am and people should leave at 2.45 however the organiser of the Hit & run event advertised it till 4.25 in order to get more money from their horrible night on purpose and consequently taking for stupid all the people in there. I could not even get in as I was having my new year dinner till 2am and I was in the door at 2.40 (as other 2 mates) so I did lose £30 or one day working for this and I could not enjoy my new year evening. I would like to know if I can take my money back, and of course put a complain to avoid that those people cant take the piss of more people like me again.

I've been cheated!!

Complete disappointment for me and my 9 friends that came. We've been working until late and, as it was written on the skiddle website, we were counting that it would finish at 4 am. We arrived at 2:15 am , there was no more service at the bar, the lights were on and we just listened for some shouting after the last track.
I want mine and my friends money back!!
Rubbish event, bad organized and just ruined my New Years Eve. What can I do for claiming my money back?? Why Hit & Run keep cheating their people that love drum n' bass so much?? It's known that they always promise late bar and late finishing time and never keep their promise!

Let's be a bit more professional, A bit more of "Reason", please?

Awesome night after a slight hiccup or two at the beginning (no change at the bar, couple of speaker issues). Friendly atmosphere even when the door was a bit of a squeeze! Big and very enthusiastic crowd with Manchester dubstep royalty playing their hearts out - top night!
