Review of The Jets - New Years Eve Rock and Roll party
The event didn’t advertise correctly in my opinion.the audience were over 50’s and didn’t say it was aimed to them.
The buffet was fee scotch eggs still in their packaging and on a table that seemed like a private one.
Lots of aged ladies line dancing.
We left and at only £5 we were able to access another party that felt more welcoming and less private.
Next time they could publicise the event in right age bracket and charge less and don’t bother advertising a buffet.

Review of The Hillbilly Moon Explosion
I though to venue was friendly with very attentive bar staff, nice and small easy to absorb the band and the atmosphere, all my friends enjoyed the evening. I thought the "Moon" might have expected a bigger turn out--don't know why there were so few there? I think this might have effected their performance a bit.

Review of The Hillbilly Moon Explosion
Great band. Love them. Very cheap tickets. But we were shocked at how few people were at the gig. Very small venue. Just as well though as the hall was very small. We dont think enough people new about this gig date. Norml ly you would hear about this type of band on the Rockin scene. But i only found out by asking on the web.

Review of The Hillbilly Moon Explosion
Bit of an odd choice venue but the band were fantastic and they really killed it! Cheers to all involved with putting it on thanks to the sound engineers for a great sound. Thanks to all the bar staff for keeping us all well hydrated but a huge thanks to Knocksville for a sterling performance and thanks to the Hillbilly Moon Explosion for a awesome set and brilliant show!!!

Review of The Hillbilly Moon Explosion
hi the only complaint would be wheelchair access is up a steep ramp and staff had to move a table if my partner wanted to go in or out! the hillbilly moon explosion would have been great if everyone did not stand directly infront of the wheelchair,
also the sound engineer needs a hearing test if he couldnt tell the lh main speakers where blown and rattly!

Review of The Hillbilly Moon Explosion
Third time seeing Hillbilly Moon Explosion. I think we were very lucky to see them and the superb Knoxville band in support for just £15 a ticket (+ silly fee). Relatively small venue is a bit shabby (and they really should have fixed the men's urinals!), bar prices were reasonable and the beer range good. And there's a free car park at the venue, so brilliant! Friendly atmosphere...lots of people had dressed up for the occasion in their Rockabilly gear. All ages present from 20's thru to 60's. Only one episode of "d**k-headedness" - a tall bloke pushed into a position in front of a group of shorter female fans - but they pointed out his error and moved themselves in front of him. The prat took some photos and eventually slide away. As it is the venue is not so large, so you can see the band from pretty much anywhere and the volume was quite high so being up close had disadvantages, Duncan James's Fender amp is loud...more suited to larger venues. Sylvain's drumming is as spot-on as ever, Oliver Baroni the pivotal front (bass) man and of course the ethereal, close but distant Emanuela Hutter, all were on from and true to their established characters. The audience response was appreciative though I've seen a more enthusiastic reception at Borders a couple of years ago. Perhaps a combination of the weather, dull venue lighting and late Friday hour (venue open at 20:00pm, with Knoxville on around 21:30 and the Hillbilly's didn't start until well after 23:00) may have taken away some of the energy. Glad I was there though...and Happy Birthday Emanuela!

Review of The Hillbilly Moon Explosion
The Hillbilly Moon Explosion band is fantastic with its smouldering female lead singer with an incredibly beautiful voice and likewise the lead male singer with his deep voice & amazing capabilities with the stand up bass. Lead guitarist & drummer were outstanding too for their imaginative additions to the music. A band not to be missed!
