I go every year and have never been disappointed.

Wickerman weekend

Second year attending the wickerman. There were 7 in our group, 5 teenagers and 2 adults. Easy walk from car park to general campsite. Very friendly festival with a great mix of music. The weather was fantastic as we're the rezillos who played in the scooter tent. Public service broadcasting were excellent. Hopefully we'll make it next year

Best wickerman yet - though the weather probably helps. Plenty space in general camping. The noise from the dance and reggae tents never bothers me, I think it sends me to sleep. Line up was great because it is always so varied. No. 1 for me was Public Service Broadcasting, brilliant spot after the wickerman burning (rain didn't matter) Other highlights were the Temperance Movement, Solareye, Casual Sex, Willie Campbell and the Hang Project. Also enjoyed Bellowhead (didn't think I would)
Loved the way the bar was set up this year making more use of the Star Wood and going through to the Accoustic Tent. Though they did run out of the pints of cider pretty early on. Wish the Acc Tent could be in a quieter spot. Thought food choice was 'ok' could have done with more variety and veggie options for veggie friends. Security were good this year.
Finally big thumbs up for toilets - consistently clean, best I've seen at a festival for many a long year.

Weather and site were great, music in Scooter tent was great on Friday, didn't think much of Saturday though, best band were the Enemy. I will definitely go again as it is such a great atmosphere. Shame the Axis Sound System wasn't there this year as that was my highlight last year.

Fabulous Weekend!

Great people, great music, great food too!!
The weather couldnt have been better either. My first time at Wickerman.
What an atmosphere... Many excellent bands in the smaller tents too...great! For me the top main performers were Kate Tunstall, Chic, and up there with the best were the Rezillos...pure energy, what a performance.
Only one negative thing to say....The tent that played music all night, till 5am...The Reggie Tent?...Please, the bass was ridiculously loud. I and many others were half way down camping site and you could feel the bass resonating through your body...Pretty much impossible to sleep, even though quite drunk! Some people had to sleep in their cars to get peace from it.....
I will be coming back for sure, but will try to go to quiet camping area, where I was meant to be, but was actually full by Thusrday evening!
Great event, looking forward to next year despite this.

Great times at the wickerman

Having been going to the festival for ten years I was planning on making this my last visit to the wickerman as I felt it was moving away from its roots which less face it, to some extent it has. However this year was fantastic. In terms of organisation I thought the whole festival was pretty well organised and the new security firm were courteous and friendly- in general they did not ruin the atmosphere. There was music for everyone along with the usual stuff such as excellent food choices, and activities for old and young alike. The atmosphere at the wickerman was that good that I hope I will be returning for another ten years.

One small gripe and I have mentioned this before in previous reviews. Pleas put toilets nearer the greenman inn for females. Even a female urinal if there's not so much room to put portaloos. Thanks to all the staff and party people for making it a great year.

Brilliant weekend, had a ball. I wouldn't change anything about it(apart from more loos), we were in the campervan site, great friendly atmosphere. Beats all festivals I have been to in the past and will defo be back.. bring it oan!

Had an amazing weekend again this year @ wickerman. Site was good, music brill, enternatinment fab. Good mix for all people of all ages. Security very good this year to. Hot hot hot. Luved every minute, bring on next years :0)

What a brilliant weekend, friendly festival with something for everyone. Second year at wickerman and enjoyed the great mix of music and entertainment, grounds large enough to cope with it being a sell out without feeling swamped.More toilets in all areas would be great but they were kept clean which is a bonus.Hope they keep it the same and don't try and turn it into an even bigger event. Friendly security this year much improved on last.
Will be back next year .

The best yet! Chic were awesome and what about the weather? This was my fourth visit and looking forward to my return next year. The friendly attitude displayed by all never ceases to please me. Well done the organisers and keep up the great work.

Amazing weekend

Great weekend, clean, friendly festival, great mix of music, this was my second year and ill be back again next year. My only complaint is the lack of toilets near the main stage, especially as the festival had sold out.

Wasn't keen on the new camping layout. It was changed last year too so makes it difficult to meet up and camp beside friends.Please don't change it again.The bag search is a blasted nuisance, as we try to pack evrything neatly for ease of carrying then have to open bags and take stuff out and re-pack. What is that about. Please take my advice and go to Cambridge Folk Festival and see how it's done.

Fantastic weekend had by all my Party[my Gf from Dubai, my 15 year old son and his pal].We visited most of the Tents and ate from the Varied selection of food stalls from Thursday to Sunday...KASSIDY were superb,DOG IS DEAD,Big Taj and Spee six nine,WOW,bring them back next year. A special mention to the 4girl members,[Hearts Under Fire],thanx for the freeby E.P,The staff were very good, so helpful/ organised,to the extent of putting a Carpet of Straw to walk on near the DOWN n DIRTY [as its bit muddy],Litterpickers were on the ball.My only grump of the weekend was the SECURITY GUARD who told me,i was NOT allowed to drink out or carry around the plastic botte of Pear Cider i bought from the Greenmans bar[he needs a REFRESHER COURSE],but we will be back next year as normal[VIP would be good to get next year,where can we apply?]
