The Drayman

The Drayman in Bexleyheath is a stylish, modern bar that would not be out of place in the heart of London's West End. Somewhere not 'Pub-like', filled with pool-tables, dartboards and karaoke, but somewhere where you would be proud to invite your friends for a special night out. Somewhere that serves sumptuous cocktails, good champagne and wines, refreshing chilled beers, and somewhere you could listen to quality music and socialize without feeling surrounded by youngsters that barely look old enough to even be allowed to drink alcohol. The Drayman sits back slightly from the main road which thus provides it with a fantastic front terrace area. This area is particularly popular during the summer months as it is a real sun trap and provided is a seating and table area outside so you can enjoy the hot summer evenings in style. A brand new Audio/Visual booth has been installed, from which the resident DJ can now bring you the very best mix of quality music, as well as a visual display via our digital projector and Plasma screens. The whole system is linked together through a sophisticated computer system and it is fair to say that there isn't a system in any other bar or pub locally that can match this for quality of sound. Upstairs is the 'Lounge Bar'. This area is intended to be used as a cocktail bar and eventually it may become a private members bar. This bar is much more of a quieter, seated area, where customers can feel more relaxed and perhaps a little bit more exclusive. Climate control has been installed so that as well as making the bar warmer and more welcoming during the winter months, we can also 'turn down the heat' during those hot and sweaty summer evenings. Disabled access and a disabled toilet facility have also been added to accommodate those customers that require the aid of a wheelchair.
