Had booked a hotel a few minutes walk from the original venue then ended up having to tramp across Chester & get a taxi back, something I specifically didn't want on new year. I don't believe it was all the Guild Halls fault - we've only Goldusts word for that & they lied about the number of acts that would appear so I just don't trust them. The room was overcrowded, many people had no tables and some even had to stand all night. 25 mins to get served at the bar is ridiculous. Will never use Goldust or Skiddle again! | ||||||||||||||

OK it was a bit of a tight fit (but it created a great atmosphere, better than the guildhall i reckon), and the bar did shut a bit early (but there was one in the other hall so no problem). IT WAS A FANTASTIC EVENING, guess you had to be with the right people. | ||||||||||||||

Naturally concerned at the cancellation of the original venue (hope someone is going after the Guild Hall owners !). The Comedy Inn not really suitable due to being cramped, bar staff unable to cope with the nature of the burlesque crowd, bar poorly stocked (red wine is not an exoctic drink !). Price was excessive, however i'm sure organisers aren't to blame for what happended and after having read the reviews from previous years, i'm sure this was a one off. Would i have missed it ? Not for all the tea in China ! The atmosphere was amazing, the audience was amazing. So many wonderfully friendly exotic people, so many laughs, new friends made and the artistes who did appear were brilliant. I shall definately be going to the next event and i hope it's soon. | ||||||||||||||

The venue was poor and the 12 advertised acts didnt all appear. It was cramped, the bar shut early and there wasnt room to dance. We were offered refund and champagne but neither appeared. The cost of the ticket was £40 and over £4 booking fee for each ticket. Whilst the organiser wasnt to blame there should be some form of refund and the guildhall should be held to account for ruining the evening. Happy New Year | ||||||||||||||
