Review of Ravenstonedale Festival 2013

i love this festival, its a shame you couldn't take drinks into the area area though like you could in years past.

Fantastic festival!

This was my first ever music festival so I have nothing else to measure the event on other than my personal voyage through the weekend. So, my thoughts....WOW, what a weekend. I have come away buzzing from the great entertainment that was provided. I would deffo recommend this event to anyone, bring on the next!

overpriced.

Third and final year at Ravenstonedale Festival unfortunately. The price has double since 2012 and the festival has failed to warrant the increase. There is absolutely no mention that they had changed the rules this year to make it an arena festival, meaning you can't take your own drinks to the 'arena'. Had this been advertised in anyway then I probably wouldn't have gone. It's a shame to see greed has taken over.

Next year I will be off to another small independent festival that still has the spirit.

Ravenstonedale Festival

this festival should develop into a great weekend. Small but with big ideas, staff very friendly, location fantastic.Music the bands on the main stage although local put on a great show and were worth getting wet for, shame the weather spoilt the turn out. In the dance tents good light shows, good sound and again a good mix of styles.
Food: Started off with several stalls, shame these seemed to disappear over the weekend(?) Big thanks to the one guy who stayed, and did not put his prices up!!
location: fantastic views, could be a problem with space if next year as I expect this festival grows.
Will be going again next year see you all then.
PS If you can not wait that long see you at beat hearder.

Ravenstonedale Festival

The music was brilliant and there was no bad feeling at all, a nice mix of people and would have been perfect apart from the absolutely awful weather. because of the nature of that kind of event there was a lot of trekking around in mud which was not pleasant but couldn't be helped either. drinks were not extortionate but not that cheap, about £3 a drink, and the food was quite pricey. also most of the caterers left some time during Saturday so there was only one left but luckily enough they did a variety of food. i would definitely go again, the atmosphere was good and there was no hassle, everyone was just so nice and the music was really good and for the cost of the ticket, £35 for a full weekend with camping, you really can't complain.

RAVENSTONEDALE ... FANTASTIC

had a fantastic weekend at Ravenstonedale ... what a beautiful place... it was a warm and friendly atmosphere... the weather was wet but so were we on the inside so it didnt matter.. needs more stalls.. sunday for me was best day ... most enjoyed band ... spartan tartan... cant wait for next year

A lovely relaxed festival, amazing scenery. More dance music than anything else, I would have preferred a larger tent you could dance in rather than the small designated chill-out tent as they played some brilliant music.
