Review of Farmfest 2017
Paid to rent a blow up bed which had deflated by the next day and nobody was around to help me. Annoying bubble tent in the campsite playing songs that didn't relate to the festival style at all.
Good safe festival for those who enjoy the vibe more than the music itself.

Farmfestival 2013
I absolutely loved it! Terrific vibe and atmosphere. Everyone was jolly and friendly. The music was spot on. Toilets are just toilets at a festival. They'll never be a pleasant experience. But I WAS disappointed to see how much rubbish people left behind though! Come on fellow festival goers! It aint on to leave your crap behind for others to clear away. Particularly when it takes but a short stagger to a flamin BIN!!!! Having said that, our party did pick-up a nice green tent!
But maybe you could give attendees bags at the beginning - separated out for recyclable and for general waste perhaps? Ghost Poet rocked it on Friday night - shame it took a while to set-up, but them's the breaks.
Would most def go again. It was so NICE to get away from all that corporate crud. In fact, the only crud that seemed to be around was that which came out of my GOB! Huzzah! Talking nonsense to strangers at 2.00am. I don't think you can beat it. :)

Farm Festival 2013 - good fun
Had a great time.
This is a small festival think village fete meets festival. We arrived and parked close to the entrance but walked the wrong way with all our stuff. Went into the second general camping field - plenty of space and even space for our friends who joined us at 9pm. Drinks were cheap and not much of a queue at the bar, good range of local cider/beer. Food was good value but only three food venues options and at peak times there was a long queue the 1 hour pizza wait was not good but the bacon butties, belly buster and pulled pork rolls were great. Veggie options provided. Toilets hit and miss as every with festival. Not enough toilets in the camping fields but the ones by the music venues were ok. No showers on site.
During the day there was a fete feel lots of families, kids entertainment, music and beer in the sunshine. After about 8pm the music got louder and it was a full on festival.
Highlights...
cheap beer/food
good range of music
relaxed atmosphere
plenty of camping space
wrestling
could do better
more toilets required in camping fields
more cleaning and loo roll refills to toilets generaly
I would happily pay for a shower
needs more food outlets
better signs to the entrance
Yes I would go again its a cheap relaxed weekend away.

Farmfest
Good points:
Small distance from tent to actual festival goings-on.
Friendly atmosphere and people.
Great Value for Money.
ecclectic music.
A small festival site so no traipsing from place to place and missing everything.
bad points:
not being notified that a gas cooker wasn't allowed until we arrived which meant that the food we brought was useless. Wouldn't mind buying from the stalls but with 2 adults and 5 kids it's out of our budget!
People without kids camping in the family camping area then staying up all night being loud and obviously doing certain substances which the kids kept asking about!!
All in all a great weekend was had by all of us and we will most definitely be coming back next year for more farmy fun!
Farmfest
Had a great weekend. Lovely inexpensive little noncommercial festival - friendly people and staff. Great security (very few - not heavy handed like some!) Can take your own drinks in which is always a bonus! Music was ok - not great but the vibe was cool! Could do with a coffee & tea stall and possibly another food outlet as ques were long. Will definitely be going next year!

Farmfestival 2011
I had a lovely time at the festival.
Things I liked:
- very good value for money
- friendly atmosphere
- good size, not overcrowded
- good mixture of music
- great hog roast :)
What I didn't like:
- the food choice for those who are not into hog roast or sausages (especially vegetarians were lost when the pizza was sold out by Saturday afternoon)
- the toilets (eergs)
- the fact that people without kids pitched their tents in the family camping area and then partied at their tent all night - this was the biggest disappointment and really needs to be sorted out next time (e.g. information on website *and* gate about restrictions in family camping area)

farm fest 2011
This was our first Farm Fest but certainly not our last. Really safe and friendly, beautiful surroundings and brilliant value money, you'd be hard pushed to find a campsite for £35 so to have great music and that festival experience was fantastic. I loved Dodgy too, what a bonus. Can't wait til next year and there'll be more of us for sure. Well done to Gilcombe Farm and all involved and thank-you

FarmFest
Had a brilliant weekend at my first Farmfest and already looking forward to next year.
You get what you pay for in terms of facilities (the toilets in particular) however for a £30 weekend ticket I'm not complaining.
Beautiful surroundings but be aware it's quite remote if you don't have transport to pop to the supermarket to stock up. There are a few soft drinks and snacks sold onsite but it's very limited.
The dance tent was on an impressive slope which didn't help my dancing skills, especially after a pint of Black Rat but the DJ's were bl**dy fantastic! After a few initial technical hitches, DJ Vadim's set was well worth waiting for - love love LOVE that DJ :)
High Grade Rockers lifted my spirits and rattled my teeth with their pumping bass in one of the tiniest dance tents I've been in.
Lazer maze/cave was fun and had queues outside most times I went past so was obviously a success.
An eclectic mix of live music, much of it not to my taste to be honest, but I was there for the reggae and dubstep anyway. I would think that there's something to appeal to everyone somewhere along the line.
GOOD POINTS
Cheap as chips for the weekend
Very friendly atmosphere
Scrumpy and hog roast!
Brilliant DJ's in the dance tent
Beautiful surroundings
Helps charideeee :)
BAD POINTS
The toilets :(
Ran out of some food and drinks by Saturday
Not much choice of food, need more food stalls
Farmfest
A great little festival, had a really good time, pleasant and beautiful surroundings. However, the only downer was losing a brown leather hat with shells tied to the front, can I please, please have it back???? Me and that hat, we have history. If anyone does have it, and minor miracles occur, please give me a bell on 07852333152 Cheers, Simon

Sunrise 2011
Yet again alovely friendly relaxed festival. In beautiful setting.
Very visual, lots going on lots to do and lots of excellent bands and DJ's.
Zub Zub excelled on the main stage and Spongle Dj set with Raja Ram was brilliant (no Simon Posford ;( )
I hope that it doesnt get a lot bigger. One or two people are plugging Sunrise the alternative to Glastonbury next year.I hope not.
Anyway must get to bed it's nearly lunchtime (At a gig all night.) Cosmic ; )

My review
I think Sunrise was ecstatically amazing. I loved most of the music and enjoied dancing with my mates. There were loads of interesting workshops like harmony singing and African druming. It would be even beter if the festival were on for a week next year - please consider. I thought the satrday night fire performance that the crazy stunt man with the golden frilly underpants did was incredibl! I think some of the stalls were a bit pricey but all in all it was fantastic and good value for money. Thanks. From Laura(age 14) and Linda in Wales.
