Review of Baby Rave Leeds Presents... Back 2 The Old Skool (TUESDAY MORNING)

Second time I have been. Had a fab time and my little boy even won best dressed :)

I attended my first baby rave with my son Morgan, 6 months old. Im going to get the negative out of the way first, I was disappointed with the flooring.... A cold concrete floor and the only covering when we arrived where strips of cotton/nylon on the floor, I wouldn't lay Morgan on the floor at home without some kind of rug or play mat so I was shocked that I was having to do it here. When the entertainment started white rubber back rugs where handed around so I thought fair enough but this was taken from us again and we were downgraded to the floor again. Pleas baby rave bear in mind most babies attended are starting to flip over, sit up and crawl and they don't want to be on a cold hard floor, Invest in some gym matts or give out the rubber rugs at the beginning and allow mums with babes to keep them throughout the 2 hours.

 The baby rave was buzzing with well buzz, Mums and babies everywhere, laser lights flashing on the roof and disco lights whizzing around us, entertaining Morgan through out. The entertainment team did amazing singing songs and making us mums interact especially when they got us up dancing to the old songsfrom the 80s it was mint. Instruments were played, songs where sang, African language learnt and dance moves on the floor, Ladies and Gents it was well worth the £7 paid for 2 hours of non stop baby and toddler fun.

After everyone said how great it would be, I was a little disappointed to be honest.  The singing was great and I liked how there was something to go with each song - I would have liked this bit to go on for longer.  There were a lot of people there though so it was really hard to negotiate a pathway through to the baby area which was right at the front.  And when I got there I couldn't really let go of him because the floor was concrete and only covered by silk material - not exactly baby friendly!  I think it would have been great for older children and the atmosphere was great but I wouldn't recommend to parents taking babies (my son is six months).

Great venue, second room too small, not enough chill out area, it needed more seating.

Renaissance 20th Anniversary

Quality venue, small and friendly - if a little difficult to find. Just like clubbing used to be... Already counting down to Part 2!

Probably the best FILTH Birthday yet. What an amazing crowd in an amazing venue with amazing music. Perfect and cant wait to get back to Vox and do it all again
