As days grow longer and nights shorter, summer is on its way, and with that Spring Bank Holiday. It seems that things have certainly been hotting up in Manchester's underground scene as well recently, and since the demise of Sankeys, other nights in the city have really gone for it with bookings, more than making up for its loss.
Manchester has never been short of forward thinking underground artists. From Joy Division and The Smiths to the Happy Mondays and 808 State - The birthplace of rave culture in Britain has delivered some of the greatest minds in musical history.
With the electronic music scene and local record labels gaining ever increasing recognition around the world, it comes as no surprise that Manchester's nightlife boasts events at the very pinnacle of underground club nights, and has done for some time.
