Kaluki - Monthly Saturdays at the all new San

14th Oct 2006

A brand new night takes shape at Sankeys which promises to liven up Saturdays in Manchester with some electronic edged house and electro sourced by the two residents.
Aimed just left of Manchester's ever popular house scene, the philosophy behind Kaluki is to maintain an energised atmosphere with music that wouldn't necessarily be heard in the myriad of other nightclubs in the city. The mysterious Kaluki DJs and promoters Clark Kent and DJ Ellesse have between them accumulated a massive wealth of experience spinning in just about every club and bar in Manchester and beyond.

 Clark Kent says:
“We know plenty of people out there who love to party and demand a little more from their weekend soundtrack. Our passion for DJing is huge and we gain complete satisfaction from being a little more adventurous with our selection although we’re definitely not going to play it completely obscure and anal.  It’s a Saturday night and it’s a party, but there’s loads of brilliant house music out there that doesn’t get played as it’s not on big, branded compilations and isn’t familiar. We aim to play to the people who are hungry for new, quality sounds, Sankeys has always been the place to go if you’re serious about your house music and Kaluki not only embraces this legacy but will take it to the next level.”

The new layout at Sankeys is such that there will now be three rooms of music incorporating the cutting edge, electronic house that has recently swept Ibiza, the UK and indeed the finer nightclubs across the globe, vocal orientated house upstairs and an eclectic mix of disco, funk and whatever else in the bar.

Sankeys is set to revolutionise the club scene in Manchester and with three rooms to play with things are going to get even more exciting.
