30th Mar 2009
So it is safe to say that we are expecting some pretty big things for this year’s festival. Having now stretched across a two day camping event, there is a whole 48 hours to fill with musical madness. The organisers have been working flat out, so we can party flat out, but we still don’t know who is going to be providing the soundtrack to our weekend of fun.
As we have to wait until Friday to find out the official line up for Creamfields 2009, we have been going mad guessing who will be this year’s headliners.
Last year saw Fatboy Slim, Pendulum, The Gossip, Simian Mobile Disco and The Presets on the Main Stage and 2 Many DJs, Erol Alkan, Paul Van Dyke, Sasha, Pete Tong, and Andy C, among others, take over the turntables.
But as Fatboy Slim has just pulled out of Snowbombing due to a stint in rehab, we are guessing that he won’t be returning to Creamfields this year.
Soulwax are headlining this year’s Bestival, so maybe 2ManyDJs might return as the foursome to Creamfields.
Undoubtedly there will be an appearance from some of the Ed Banger clan, as they have been very busy this year. Similarly, French electro-duo, Justice might be a good bet for a big headliner.
On the main stage we may well see Basement Jaxx, as they are also headlining Wireless. But Orbital have been confirmed for a mass of UK festivals this summer.
But this is all just speculating, and as Creamfields always likes to surprise us, we will just have to wait till Friday, when the official line up is announced.
Who do you think will be the line up for Creamfields 2009? Let us know below...
