To celebrate an incredible decade as global leaders of the dance movement, Creamfields 2008 have announced one of their most innovative and diverse line ups to date led by Britain's best bands and the worlds most diverse DJ's. This year Kasabian will be playing an English festival exclusive heading up an imaginative and inspired bill which mixes top class indie bands with dance acts and DJ royalty. Stay tuned to Radio 1 for the exclusive line up announcement on Friday 7th March from 7pm.

Two years of planning has built up to this years megafest that hosts camping for the first time ever for a 2-day event set to bridge the gap between Rock and Dance delivering one of the freshest festival line ups you'll see this Summer! Cherry picking the worlds best artists is the trademark of Creamfields and this year they will showcase a selection that shines above all others on the calendar.

As one of the UK's biggest bands, Kasabian have garnered massive success with their legendary live shows, captivating crowds with their anthems and securing them as festival favourites. Their last album Empire' went in straight in at No.1 and has sold in excess of 700,000 copies to date.

Creamfields are delighted to have Radio 1 on board this year for exclusive coverage throughout the event, broadcasting an array of sensational live music. Stay tuned for announcements in the run up to the festival that embodies the spirit of the August Bank Holiday weekend.

For the first year ever the festival extends to two glorious days in the idyllic Cheshire countryside and will host camping - but fear not of British summer time and muddy fields! Always ones to embrace luxury - Creamfields play host to the Tangerine Fields - festival extraordinaires of boutique camping.

Set in the stunning surroundings of Daresbury, Cheshire the Creamfields site looks across the rolling meadows of English countryside making the Creamfields experience the perfect UK holiday destination. Move over Ibiza Rocks!

The announcement for Creamfields UK follows news this week that Cream as a record-breaking number of events planned for 2008 with a total of 13 Creamfields festivals happening worldwide. The Cream team have set the standard once again as the world's leading festival promoters and will host Creamfields in Spain, Russia, Mexico, Brazil, Poland, Czech Republic, Turkey, Chile, Malta, Romania and Argentina.

Headliners Kasabian, said "We are made up to be headlining this years Creamfields. We have heard great things about the festival over the years and it is an honour to be asked to headline on it's tenth anniversary. It will be great to bring our sound to a fresh Northern crowd"

Cream CEO James Barton said: "It's amazing that even after 10 years Creamfields is still evolving as a festival.
