Defected presents – Urban House (defected)

The 07 kicks off in fine style with this ultra fly double cd mix selection from defected aptly entitled urban house. Cd 1 kicks off with the sexy “the cure & the cause” by fish go deep and flows in to dancefloor devastators from last year like dj technic’s “gabryelle” & the kaos man Kerri chandlers dancefloor bomb “ bar a thym”.

Also featuring on cd1 is classics like martin solveig’s “jealousy” in its Dennis ferrer form and the uber cool “da bump” by Mr.v. Marley marl’s “beyond” & karizma’s “god made me funky” represent the mix with there no nonsense serious attitudes.

Cd2 is a more down to business affair and kicks of with the devastatingly deep vocal tones of wookie & lain’s “live on” other vocal gems like djaimin’s “give you” , yves la rock’s afro beat monster “zookey” and mix ending “he is” by copyright appear but that’s just a small fraction of the quality on offer in cd2 . Peak time players like Kerri chandlers rub of “discopolis” by lifelike & kris menace & “elektro” by outwork sit hand in hand with two of my biggest tunes from last year Mr.V’s “jus dance (Quentin Harris mix) and the driving spen produced “nightrain” by Thommy Davis.

With this much quality so early in the year its going to be well worth keeping an eye on the defected stable (yet again!) in the coming months.

9/10 Ki Creighton
