Travel to/from Standon Calling

Location

Standon Lordship is near the village of Standon, just off the A10 approximately 30 miles north of London. The site?s postcode is SG11 1PR.
GETTING THERE BY FESTIVAL COACH

Standon Calling has teamed up with Festival Coaches to offer a coach service from London. Go green and get on board to help reduce the impact of car traffic on the environment and local roads. Not only does the coach service drop you directly on site it takes away any worries about travelling there and being sober enough to travel back. Book ?28 return tickets here. This is cheaper than taking the train and then a cab or shuttle bus.
GETTING THERE BY TRAIN

Bishop?s Stortford or Ware are the closest stations to Standon Calling. A cab from either station takes around 15 minutes and costs between ?10-15.

From Bishop?s Stortford station try:
Associated Taxis ? 01279 655666
Premier taxis ? 01279655444

From Ware station try:
Hertford cars ? 01992509950
Fox Holes ? 01992500750

We have also arranged a regular Shuttle Bus to take you back to Bishop?s Stortford station that leaves the site on Monday between the hours of 10am and 1pm, You can book the ?5 service in advance here.

GETTING THERE BY CAR

From the A10, traffic should follow the event signage. All cars (including artists, guests and press) should take the first exit from the A10 signposted Colliers End. In the village, turn left on to Dowsetts Lane and follow the road for about a mile. When you get to the end of this road stewards will guide traffic into the parking field.

Don?t follow the road signs towards STANDON on the A120 as this will cause traffic disruption to both festival-goers and local residents. You will be turned back if you attempt this route.

TAKE CARE: The roads around the Lordship are extremely narrow and potentially dangerous. Please take great care and attention and be aware of unseen oncoming traffic.

PARKING: A car parking spot for the weekend costs ?5. You can buy it in advance here.

LIFT SHARING: If you are seeking a lift or are going to drive why not try Standon Calling?s liftshare? It?s cheaper, green and means you might make some more friends before you even get to the festival. If you have spare seats in your car and if you?re driving an average-sized petrol car, having four people in it will bring your CO2 emissions per person to less than travelling by train! It really does make a difference if you fill up all the seats.
