A big city with a community feel, Liverpool is famed for its welcoming residents, rich maritime heritage and of course, that band. It's also an incredibly student-friendly city, with a relatively compact centre, plenty of cultural opportunities and of course a thriving nightlife at some of the UK's best venues such as Camp and Furnace, Constellations, 24 Kitchen Street and The Buyers Club. The city also boasts an array of feature nights from the country's top brands like Circus, as well as live music promoters Harvest Sun and EVOL.
The two main universities are The University of Liverpool and Liverpool John Moores, but the city is also home to one of the country's leading performing arts schools - LIPA - as well as Liverpool Hope and the sports-focused Edge Hill in nearby Ormskirk.
But no matter which University you've chosen to study at - you're probably going to need a place to boogie when Liverpool freshers week 2023 comes around.
