Troubadour Rose are an alternate folk pop based out of London, UK. The lineup consists of Bryony Afferson (vocals/guitar), Lizzie O'Connor (banjo/vocals/mandolin), Eddie Edwards (double bass), Gary Bridgewood (violin) and Magnus Alanko (drums).
Their music puts people in a funny trance which sometimes can be worrying, how will they ever come out of it?! They're a somewhat mixed bunch; is it normal for an ex rockabilly double bassist to fraternise with an artisan of all things old and violin? Or a Yorkshire lass, scratching out songs from her guitar and wailing the loralie to find percussion in a Finnish drummer? Let alone to find a folk hearty Northerner on Gum Tree who can play all that her fingers touch?
Fortune and luck struck them a golden deal when stringing them together, and in return they march up to the top of the hill, and won't come down again.
The band list influences including Tom Waits, Nancy Griffiths, Leonard Cohen and Iron And Wine.
