Birmingham freshers week is here! Now you’ve probably finished unpacking, it’s time to see what the city has to offer in the way of banging nights out. 

Here we’ve rounded up five of the very best Birmingham freshers events to help you find the perfect event, explore your new home, and make some friends on the dancefloor while having a cracking time.

Where: Mama Roux's in Birmingham

Mama Roux’s is so well-known, that it’s parties got taken over to Ibiza this year for a thirteen-week residency at Eden. Now Mama Roux’s in Birmingham welcomes freshers for a house, garage, and DnB party with midweek party starters TEKTU.

Tickets are a steal, there’ll be £5.50 double mixers, it’s going to be a whole lot of fun.

Applebum / Birmingham / LAB11 / Hip Hop Freshers Jump Off

Where: LAB11 in Birmingham

One of Birmingham’s best student clubs pops off later this week with Applebum, a celebration of hip-hop and R&B. The venue is one you’ll likely be frequenting fairly often as one of the city’s biggest and best-loved clubs with incredible sound.

Tunes will explore many corners of the genres including classics, trap, afrobeats, and grime, so you can expect AJ Tracy, Lauryn Hill, Tupac, Dave, Rihanna, Outkast, Missy Elliott, Wu-Tang, Nicki, De La Soul, and so much more.

Haze Birmingham - Sun 24th Sept 2023

Where: XOYO Birmingham in Birmingham

Okay, so this one isn’t specifically a freshers event but it looks amazing and falls around Birmingham freshers week. Going down in Birmingham’s newest club, Haze brings a mixture of genres including UKG, DnB, deep and funky house, dancehall, R&B, afrobeats, and bass music.

The event also brings Caribbean and vegan food to keep attendees going for nine hours of raving to over 10 artists.

FRESHERS GONE WILD - Birminghams Biggest Freshers Party

When: Wednesday 20th September 2023

Where: Rosies NightClub Birmingham in West Midlands

After selling out its past editions seven years in a row, one of the biggest Birmingham freshers events returns, bringing chart tunes, house, hip-hop, R&B, trap, bashment, and afrobeats to over 1,500 ravers.

There'll be a free shot on arrival, and free snacks like sweets, popcorn, and candy floss to keep you going from 10 until 3:30 am with special surprise guests too. Snag your tickets below!

Full Moon Party

Where: Luna Springs Digbeth in Birmingham

Another one that isn’t specifically for freshers, Luna Springs is one of the best multi-event venues with all sorts on like Oktoberfest events, Bingo Lingo, foodie events, music, and more. 

They’ve got a full moon party coming up with house DJs, percussionists, acrobats, fire dancers, cocktails, street food, incredible production, and much more. As with pretty much every event Luna Springs hosts, it’s sure to be fire (literally).
