First up on our list, at number 20, is the UK’s smiliest selector, Sammy Virji. The London-born DJ has helped define a garage-house renaissance in the UK this year, with the release of his second album, Same Day Cleaning, breathing new life into the sound. 19. Asbak
Rapidly rising Dutch producer, DJ Asbak, real name Vieze Asbak, has been whipping audiences into a frenzy, both in real life and online, with his own unique blend of hard techno. His viral remixes of dance classics, like Da Hool’s ‘Meet her at the Love Parade’ and The Chemical Brothers’ ‘Where’s Your Head At?’, have had you guys hungry for tickets to see the balaclava'd Nederlander doing his thing.
18. 4AM KRU
Ask any jungle head or drum n bass fan who really left a mark on the live scene in 2025, and we'd put our money on them answering with 4AM KRU. The London-based collective has been tearing up stages across Europe this year, as part of a hectic touring schedule which saw them appear at festivals and international events such as Boomtown and the annual Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE). Here’s hoping for more of the same in 2026.

17. PAWSA
Last year’s list topper, tech-house specialist PAWSA, has enjoyed a HUGE 2025. From earning his first ranking in DJ Mag’s top 100, entering at number 69, to headlining his biggest UK headline show to date, PAWSA In The Park - it’s not hard to see why so many of you have visited Skiddle to see where and when he might be performing next.
Catch him playing a special "Concourse Only" show at Manchester’s The Warehouse Project on Monday 29th December 2025. Tickets here.

16. Fantasm
In the dance music world, the harder styles of the genre definitely dominated in 2025, with hard techno acts like number 16 on our list, Fantasm, leading the charge. Another name that broke into DJ Mag’s top 100 for the first time this year, Fantasm's exponential rise needs to be studied; from releasing mixes on YouTube to booking sell-out shows in just 12 months. Mind-blowing.

14. Kolter
You’ve got to wonder whether Pharoahe Monch would “get the f**k up” to Kolter’s recent viral hit, which playfully uses a sample from the rapper’s 1999 anthem, ‘Simon Says’. Besides his recent reworking of a hip-hop classic, Kolter has had a very active year, releasing a slew of big tunes that have found love on dancefloors in clubs worldwide. A talent representing the German house scene that’s on our ones to watch in 2026, for sure.
13. Hannah Laing
The Doof label originator has gone from strength to strength in 2025, making the cut once more and securing inclusion in our top 20 most searched artists for the third year running. She’s found herself making the shortlist for awards, specifically in the Hard Dance/Bounce category at the DJ Awards 2025, and even moved beyond the title of DJ/producer, launching her very own festival, Doof in the Park. Massive props, Hannah.

12. Prospa
Another well-established name in the dance scene, Prospa, AKA DJ duo Harvey Blumler and Gosha Smith, have proved their lasting influence yet again, ranking at number 12 in this year’s list. The boys have been seen putting serious time and effort into touring this year, pulling off some major headline appearances at the likes of Glasgow’s SWG3 and Leeds’ TESTBED.
11. Sonny Federa
Unsurprisingly, everyone’s favourite Aussie dance don, one of the world’s most-streamed dance acts, Sonny Fodera, also gets a mention in this year’s list, and it should be blatantly obvious why. A 17-week residency at Ibiza clubbing institution, Pacha, selling out Manchester’s Co-op Live, and new music, including his latest single ‘Think About Us’, which has amassed a staggering 11 million streams in less than 2 months… Few can do it as Sonny can.

Breaking into the top 10, one of the North East’s many poster boys for house music, Gaskin really turned up the heat this year, taking over stages at festivals and globally renowned clubbing spots and winning over swathes of new fans. 9. East End Dubs
When we talk about modern legends in the dance world, you can’t have a serious discussion without mentioning East End Dubs. The serial soundtracker of late-night shenanigans, who’s been on the scene for way over a decade now, got his flowers this year, gaining a season-long residency with his club night, Eastenderz, at iconic Ibiza club, Amnesia. Aside from this major milestone, he’s been out shelling audiences at sold-out events up and down the UK, with his latest club-ready anthem, ‘Dancing With You’, released in April this year.

The twosome went full-throttle in 2025, raising their profile on a global scale with a score of international live shows and their first full UK tour, resulting in a significant number of searches on Skiddle. With their brand-new party concept, The System, recently unveiled, we can’t wait to see what the future holds for the lads.
7. Hybrid Minds
Another regular on our most searched-for list, Hybrid Minds continue to deliver year after year, both in the studio and live. 2025 has obviously proved to be no different, with Josh White and Matt Lowe flexing their creative muscles on their 4th album, Atmosphere. They’ve toured the record across the UK already and announced a 2026 tour of Canada and North America. Plus, next May, they’ll bring their Atmosphere show to London’s High Lights Festival, performing it outdoors for the very first time.

Arguably the biggest DJ of 2025, KETTAMA - yet another Irish man making the list - has really taken his craft to new levels this year. While becoming somewhat of a force in the fashion scene and turning into a social media sensation, rubbing shoulders with celebs, he’s still managed to find the time to finesse and release his first studio album, Archangel - a diverse record showing off the artists varied influences, featuring several high-profile collaborations, with the likes of Interplanetary Criminal, DJ HEARTSTRING, Prospa and even Fred Again…

4. Chris Stussy
Influential Dutch DJ and label boss Chris Stussy brought his A-game in 2025, reflected in his top 4 placement. His highly regarded imprint, Up The Stuss, celebrated its 5th anniversary in 2025, notably, and to mark the occasion, the multi-faceted creative had a few things up his sleeve. He announced and debuted a new audiovisual show concept, his Linger AV DJ set, launched a brand-new event series, USS, with a sold-out show at the Roundhouse in London, and unveiled a brand new sub-label and scholarship initiative, providing mentoring and a platform for new artists to showcase their work.

Not one to rest on his laurels, he’s already got big plans for 2026, with huge international dates, festival appearances, and UK shows lined up.
2. Josh Baker
What a year it’s been for Manchester’s golden boy, Josh Baker. After winning DJ Mag’s Breakthrough Producer award, late 2024, it seems there’s no stopping the talented producer, who’s since gone on to conquer some of the biggest venues and platforms within the scene - from Manchester’s Warehouse Project, taking over six stages with his widely-renowned clubbing brand, You&Me, to Parklife Festival and Bristol’s Document - not to mention a handful of appearances in Ibiza. And when he wasn’t blowing minds behind the decks, he was busy teaming up with JD Sports or launching his own label, Bakers Dozen, and releasing new music. Some boy. A deserved and very respectable silver place for Josh.

1. Max Dean
And finally, claiming top spot on the podium, without doubt one of the most talked about names in dance music at present, our most searched for artist of the year, Max Dean.
2025 has been a seismic year for the 23-year-old dynamic house producer, who, before the year had even begun, had already received nominations for awards like DJ Mag’s Best of British. He’s been killing it on the live circuit and in the charts, with tracks from his latest EP, ‘Get’s Like That’ and ‘The Finest’, as well as his biggest single of the year, ‘Can’t Decide’, getting heavy rotation. His NEXUP event brand, also serving as a highly influential label, has taken over and sold out huge venues in London, Manchester, Newcastle and Cardiff during the year, and it even managed to break into international territories, with two shows on the White Isle with 528 and Electric Ibiza in September. Utter dominance. Bring on the new year.
