One of Scotland's most idyllic open-air live music events, Out East Festival has unveiled details of this year's lineup.

Taking place on the stunning parkland grounds of Dalkeith Country Park - from Saturday 6th - Sunday 7th August - those who acquire tickets for the upcoming summer spectacle can expect to see a score of world-class talents giving it their all, alongside a selection of local and emerging names.

Amongst some of the headline acts set to perform are the likes of Sister Sledge, the Philadelphian trio of disco pioneers, who will share the stage with UK dance greats, Faithless, Mr Scruff and Greg Wilson, drum n bass connoisseurs, Goldie and LTJ Bukem, the fifty-piece Ministry of Sound Classical and game-changing rave group, Altern-8.

Other notable names on the bill include Glaswegian producer and DJ, Rebecca Vasmant, Colonel Mustard & The Dijon Five, Jon Pleased Wimmin, Jesse Rae, and singer-songwriter, Callum Beattie, to name a few. (See Out East Festival's latest Instagram post above for more).

The Out East Festival Main Stage is where you'll find most of the action happening over the two-day event, whilst the Dance Tent ensures the party continues on into the small hours. A renowned family favourite, the festival will also boast plenty of activities and workshops for the kids to get stuck into at the School’s Out Zone, giving parents the opportunity to sneak off to the secluded Peace Out area, offering a relaxing space with bookable classes and treatment, such as Tai-chi, and yoga.

And it doesn't end there. There'll be live comedy, courtesy of the team behind Edinburgh Fringe Festival hotspot, The Gilded Balloon, a variety of tasty treats from some of Scotland’s best food and drink vendors, hosted by the renowned Canteen Street Food Festival, a monster Beer Hall showcasing the area's finest craft and specialist tipples, and so much more.
