The formula behind Croatia's ever expanding festival circuit is a simple one; take an exquisite line up of the world's best selectors and electronic musicians, have them soundtrack an event at a jaw dropping coastal location and you'll have a whole load of happy ravers. New in 2017, Labyrinth Open is set at the truly stunning Kamp Galeb, with beach access, luxury accommodation and private swimming pools and an almighty bill.

As well as seeing performances from the heap of acts on the Labyrinth Open line up, there are also seminars taking place at the Croatian site, talking over some of music's hottest topics, while there is always the option to just lie back, relax and top up your tan. In a location like Labyrinth's, any one of the line up would sound good but we've picked out five acts who deserve special attention in Croatia.

Ø [Phase]

A hugely influential in the UK techno scene since the late 1990s, Ø [Phase] is a dab hand at delivering anything from minimal to Detroit techno of the highest order and has delivered a duo of top studio albums inside the last five years. Earlier in 2017 the London producer dropped the 'Submerged Metropolitan' single, and fans will be hoping that this paves the way for plenty more music as Ø [Phase] looks toward a summer of festivals. His live set in Croatia will be a tasty affair and one you don't want to miss.

Henry Lewis

Dubfire

Ali Shirazinia aka Dubfire is a techno titan of the highest order. The Iranian's live shows are always an unmissable affair, bringing pulsating bass tones and dark trips through his vast collection of remixes. This summer Dubfire celebrates ten years of peerless productions and remixes with a three disk collection of his work entitled Hybrid: A Decade of Dubfire. With 42 tracks, there's plenty for the DJ to choose from as he heads into his massive Sunday night slot in Croatia.

HL

Radio Slave

Croatia's ambience enables you the option to focus on a more subtle and deeper groove, something Radio Slave has been an expert at over the years with his exquisite excursions through electronic music.

His meticulous programming blends dubbier textures to the more refined edges of house and techno, but he's still got an ear for more blistering warehouse rumblers - as evidenced by the brilliant double A-Side release 'ANOTHER CLUB / FEEL THE SAME' which commemorated 100 releases on his seminal imprint Rekids

Jimmy Coultas

Lee Foss

If you like your house and techno with a straight-up funk edge, Hot Creations and Repopulate Mars boss Lee Foss is a dab hand at delivering it. Taking influence from classic house, 90s hip hop, 80s electro and Detroit techno, the Chicago-born producer and DJ knows the ins and outs of club music, making for style-traversing sets and a good time guaranteed. His Sunday night slot is without doubt an unmissable affair as he continues to dominate at Europe's biggest events.

Becca Frankland

Guy J

Originally from Israel, producer Guy J is arguably one of the most sophisticated exports of it’s famous dance music scene. He has become well known for his diverse body of work, seamlessly fusing ambient house soundscapes with his unique brand of emotive techno, Guy J will no doubt be the perfect accompaniment to the sun-drenched surroundings at Labyrinth.
