The Dragon Hotel is an historic 17th century family run former Coaching Inn, set in the quiet village-sized town of Montgomery, in the stunning countryside of the beautiful rolling landscape that is The Welsh Marches (borders of Powys and Shropshire). We have 20 en-suite bedrooms, most with exposed ancient timbers and free WiFi, a spacious function room, complete with dance floor, a cosy restaurant, an indoor swimming pool and sauna and much more - all topped off with plenty of character and charm! The kitchen under Sue's supervision has held an AA Rosette for fine food continually since 1999, using the best of local poduce wherever possible.There are extensive opportunities locally for walking, cycling, horse riding, shooting, fishing and visiting sites of historical interest and now a brand new Golf Course. A warm welcoming hotel with fine food whether a single night's bed and breakfast, a short break or a longer holiday.
