SUMMER SEAON IS BACK ON! Yes! Festivals parties and sun!
It is, however, still March. So what are you going to do for the next few months while we all wait inside for a Covid jab? REMEDY thinks they've found a solution: TOPIA!
Date published: 8th Mar 2021
At the start of lockdown REMEDY looked at the options for virtual events. We realised that the technology was just not there to run an event to a good standard online... until last month when all that changed!
We were blown away by Topia. Firstly the music quality is amazing. Topia is capable of streaming multiple high-quality music and HD video streams at once. We're putting on five simultaneous stages with both recorded and live sets from acts around the world.
The next great thing is that users get to explore a fantasy world where every object is interactive. What does that mushroom do? Click on it it might make a noise, take you to another world, show you a visual; who knows?
The simplest but most effective example of Topia's interactivity is that every stage gets louder as you approach. This means you can hang about listening to music in the background while you chat to friends or if you like the track you can dive in and have a dance.
I almost forgot! All visitors all connected by HD video streams from webcams. You can talk with ten friends new or old at once. If you want to impress people with your personality you can get dressed up, do a laser show, do some stand up comedy, have a juggle: whatever you fancy!
Missing stalls? Yeah we got 'em. Artists didn't stop making stuff over lockdown; quite the opposite! Our stalls will redirect to online stores of owners we personally know . All the store owners will be there to talk to you about the things they are selling.
Are you starting to see how far this goes? The scope?
Retro computer games arcade? Yeah sure. Interactive art? You betcha?
Its a festival. Online. You'll love it.
REMEDY's event is for charity (NHS Charities Together, who provide support for staff working in the NHS.) costs less than £4. Has international headliners form around the world. And caters for those who like Psytrance, Hard Dance, Trance, Techno, House, Chill out and other Dance music.
Some reviews:
?It makes you think what generates a festival atmosphere. It's not just about music. You can wonder off to look at something new and loose your friends. You can stumble upon a new and interesting type of music, you can go to chat to someone ... and just have the tunes on in the background.?
?Because you are given a little character, you start seeing the environment from its perspective the psychology is just like playing a computer game. We're simple animals really. We put ourselves at the festival.?
?It felt like a real festival.?
