Roots Picnic to debut in London this August with huge Hip-Hop headliners
With Nas & The Roots, Robert Glasper, Questlove, Common, and Anthony Hamilton to headline the first-ever international edition.

London's festival calendar is about to be super busy, as iconic Philadelphia festival Roots Picnic has announced that they'll be debuting in London for the first international edition this August. Commencing on Saturday 8th to Sunday 9th August, Roots Picnic will be bringing its legendary sound to Crystal Palace Bowl as part of Palace Bowl Presents, a new festival series running from 31 July to 16 August.
With huge headliners, Nas & The Roots, who'll be performing a special two-hour joint performance. As well as Robert Glasper, Questlove, Common and Anthony Hamilton.
Also on the lineup is Sasha Keable, J.PERIOD Live Mixtape feat Black Thought & Yasiin Bey & Benny The Butcher, Nia Smith, Musiq Soulchild, Gotts Street Park with Olive Jones. Plus Floetry, who will be performing in the UK for the first time in a decade. Both days will also feature sounds by Benji B.
Since launching in 2007, The Roots Picnic has been a prominent addition to Philadelphia's music scene, adding culture and entertainment to their US event, especially with this year's headliners, Jay-Z and Erykah Badu.
