Sheffield’s very own heaven on Hillsborough returns once again this year with a lineup that promises to be its very best yet. From Friday 19th to Sunday the 21st of July, Tramlines Festival plays host to some of the most enthralling acts on the current circuit, rocking socks off all the way to the Yorkshire Dales.

The gargantuan headline acts are split across the three days, with Two Door Cinema Club opening proceedings with an array of indie bangers that have stood the test of time, and perhaps a glimpse of their new single ‘Dirty Air’, released last month.

Saturday Night sees Manchester’s finest indie rockers Courteeners storming the main stage, who are on the brink of a new album whilst still churning out their beloved classics to make heads bob. Sunday is anything but deflated, as a healthy switch from indie to disco sees the legendary Nile Rodgers & CHIC bring their American glamour and groove to the steel city, as all generations unify for a one-in-a-lifetime chance to see their timeless tunes live.

Don’t fret, the headline acts are not the only ones to get excited about. Welsh Rockers Manic Street Preachers, modfather turned Guy-liner guru Miles Kane, The ever-evocative Doves and the soul-bearing Rag ‘N’ Bone Man all unify to scintillate festival goers. For another welcome dose of 90’s nostalgia, Happy Mondays will be bringing the full force of their twisting and turning talent on the Sunday.

Well, it wouldn’t be Tramlines Festival without the regulars. Fulfilling that role are Sheffield’s very own Reverend and the Makers, who to our delight return once again to celebrate the festival’s eleventh anniversary. A nostalgic moment for The Rev and fans alike, as they also appeared at the very first Tramlines!

If that’s not enough to steer heads, then don’t worry. This year’s Tramlines boasts the likes of Peter Hook and the Light Orchestra, The Rifles, Annie Mac, Johnny Marr, Circa Waves, Shame, Drenge and Sleeper, amongst many other shimmering stars! It truly promises to be a festival for the ages.  Topped off with a sprinkling of comedy from the likes of Phil Jupitus and Reginald D. Hunter.
