The cancelled shows include All Together Now, Sziget, Pukkelpop, We Out Here, Victorious Festival, and upcoming tour support for Mumford & Sons in the US

Michael Kiwanuka has announced the cancellation of all upcoming festival and live dates this summer due to an ongoing illness. The Mercury Prize-winning singer-songwriter confirmed the news via Instagram, explaining that medical advice had led him to withdraw from scheduled performances for the remainder of the summer and his planned October dates.

Kiwanuka was set to appear at high-profile festivals such as All Together Now (Ireland), Sziget (Hungary), Pukkelpop (Belgium), and UK events including We Out Here and Victorious Festival. He was also lined up to support Mumford & Sons on their North American tour.

Kiwanuka's statement in full reads:

“We are so sorry to announce that due to continued illness, and on the advice of doctors, Michael will sadly be unable to perform at the rest of his scheduled festival performances throughout the rest of the summer and the shows in North America in October (including the support tour with Mumford & Sons).

“We know this is disappointing news to hear, and nobody is more disappointed and saddened than Michael to no longer be taking to the stage as planned.

“Love and thanks to everyone for their understanding.”

His last performance took place at Spain's Festival Pirineos Sur earlier this month, following a busy summer that included shows at Bilbao BBK Live, Orange Warsaw, INMusic, Sofia Live, Primavera Sound Porto, and Best Kept Secret.

Fans are encouraged to follow Kiwanuka’s official channels for future updates.
