Couples that laugh together stay together. There’s nothing like gasping for air as the giggle fits overcome you. You look at your partner, and they’re clutching their stomach, face red, and you just laugh harder. So it’s a good thing that Liverpool has loads of cracking comedy clubs like Hot Water Comedy Club and Laughterhouse Comedy.

There are a few to choose from, like Breakout, Escape Live, and Escape Hunt. And you can choose the theme of your room, such as pirates, magic school, Peaky Blinders, Jack the Ripper, casino heist, and more.

Liverpool is home to TeamSport Karting, an indoor go-karting course. The karts can go up to 40mph as you skirt around the UK’s best indoor circuit. And it’s only a ten-minute drive from Liverpool One. Get over there, burn some rubber, snag the medal, and prove once and for all you’re the better driver.

Dress up fancy and sip a drink in front of the sunset

Rooftop bars are pretty incredible. Many have a super sophisticated vibe, great views, and insanely delicious drinks. If the sky is clear, it’s a great idea to go to a bar with a lovely view to watch the sunset as you sip a drink or two and maybe even grab a bite to eat.

There are so many art galleries in Liverpool to explore together. Choose which to visit based on what you’re interested in. The Tate is all about modern art, Lady Lever Art Gallery has one of the UK's finest collections of fine and decorative art, Walker Art Gallery contains sculptures, paintings, and decorative art, and there are plenty of others.

Going to the cinema is a popular first date (or general date) for a reason - they’re brill. But Everyman Cinema made it ten times better by filling the room with comfy chairs that are basically sofas so you can watch that new flick as you would at home - sprawling out, getting comfy and munching on snacks.

Grab some unreal scan

Or try some super fancy eats

If going for food seems a bit too easy or you do it often enough already, maybe trying something a bit fancier will do the trick. Liverpool has plenty of Michelin-starred restaurants that offer truly unique, inventive dishes (works of art, really) in a sophisticated atmosphere. There’s Röski, Barnacle, Fraiche, Manifest, and The Barn, to name a few. Dress up nice and prepare your taste buds for a new adventure!

Wander around a museum and learn something new

It’s never too late to expand your mind! Have a stroll around the World Museum, home to the natural history, world cultures, antiques, and physical science collections. Learn, chat, discuss what you see, and maybe stop by the café for a hot drink. It’s a great way to learn more about each other, even if you think you already know everything there is to know about your significant other, and it’s a peaceful way to spend the day.
