Calling all new bands from in and around Lancashire! Do you want to play on the main stage at Lancaster's biggest music festival, Highest Point? Well, they have just announced that they have saved the opening slot on Friday night for a new band, and that band could be you!

Alongside playing the opening slot on the stunning main stage at Williamson Park, the winning band will get a £500 fee, a bundle of Highest Point merch, weekend tickets for the band, food & drinks, and guest list spots for your top fans!

The competition, which has just gone live on the Highest Point Instagram page, will be won by one of the bands who gets their fans to tag them on the post the most. This will result in 5 finalists from which BBC 6 Music’s Chris Hawkins will choose the winner!

This is an incredible chance for your new band to play on a huge stage, the same stage that Sam Ryder, Cat Burns, and Tom Odell will be playing later in the day!

To enter: Tell all of your fans to tag your band on the post on the Highest Point Instagram, and remember, the more you are tagged the more chance of winning!

The closing date for entries is Friday 22nd March at 5pm, and the winner, chosen by BBC 6 Music’s Chris Hawkins, will announced at 11am on 25th March. Good Luck!
