Regulars of Birmingham’s craft beer scene will be familiar with 1000 Trades, but their spot at Lightwoods House & Park is an absolute must. Not only are you buying drinks in a Georgian grade II listed manor house, but you can go out and marvel at the vast green space in front of you while you drink it.

But if we had to choose, we’d plump for the beer garden. It’s big, green and has plenty of space to catch up with friends or take the family for a day out in the sun. Stirchley is one of Birmingham’s best places for food and drink, and with over 100 years of service, The British Oak is one of its crown jewels.
