Terminal V to stream Patrick Topping from historic Edinburgh hillside

Saturday 8th August sees the launch of the festival’s new live streaming channel

Edinburgh electronic music festival Terminal V is set to launch a new multi-platform live streaming channel this weekend with a performance from Patrick Topping on top of the famous Carlton Hill.

The broadcast from the UNESCO World Heritage Site, which is home to the Scottish Government and the National Monument, will go out on Saturday 8th August - the same day that the TRICK label boss was due to play to a crowd of 5000 at a Terminal V all-nighter event (rescheduled for later this year).

The North Shields-born DJ and producer has a strong affinity with the city, having been to university there, and performs a two-hour set overlooking the Edinburgh skyline at sunset as lasers and projections bounce around the historic hillside.

The launch of TERMINAL V CONNECT follows lockdown streams from the festival featuring Maceo Plex, Kink, Luigi Madonna and Rebuke, and comes three months ahead of the Terminal V Halloween 2020 special, which will see the likes of Charlotte De Witte, Richie Hawtin and Nina Kraviz play to thousands at a warehouse complex near Edinburgh Airport.

You can watch the broadcast live on Skiddle's Facebook page from 8pm on Saturday 8th August.
