It's just that time of year, your inbox and social feeds will be jam-packed with loads of new events happening in the infancy of 2023, as well as a spectacular selection of, you guessed it, festivals, festivals, and a few more festivals. And naturally, with there being so many announcements over recent weeks, this week's New On Skiddle is packed full of even more of them for you to choose from! All, of course, with tickets now available to buy. 

From day-long raves by some of the best in the biz, to huge weekend-long festivals with curated lineups of dizzying proportions, to bass-fuelled events that'll have you in a perpetual skank until the birds sing, whatever the occasion, we've got an event for you. Plus, if you don't fancy the late nights, then we've even got the incredible UKG brunch's new summer series, which features rooftop, terrace and even boat brunches for you and your pals to sink your teeth into. The Lofts presents - Solardo

When: Friday 7th April 2023

Where: The Lofts in Newcastle Upon Tyne

Delving into the deeper side of electronic music, Fridays at Newcastle's high-flying club, The Lofts, are the night to get lost in the music, and hear some of the very best in the Underground House, Minimal and Techno scene. For their special Good Friday event, the toon-based team are treating lucky punters to a special night from the tech house legends that are Solardo.

From playing for the biggest crowds at the most epic of festivals like Glastonbury, Tomorrowland, Ultra Music Festival Miami & Creamfields to some of the world's renowned clubs, Solardo adapts to whichever crowd is put in front of them. This time around, however, you'll see them in a much more intimate space, and we can only dream about how excellent the vibes electrifying the place will be.

WAH in the City Festival

When: Sunday 9th July 2023

Where: Dockyards in London

 The incredible team at Worried at henry are no strangers to Drum and Bass, regularly burning together the biggest and best in the scene for huge nights all across the country. Now, for one day only in July WAH are bringing all of their regulars and a few special guests together for a city festival at London's Dockyards, for a night of filthy bassline and plenty of gun fingers all locked and loaded. 

Having finally made their debut in London last November, WAH already have two sold-out Printworks shows under their belt - and they’re only just getting started. This summer, the brand undertakes its biggest show to date - hosting three huge stages of DnB, Garage and Bass in London’s freshest inner city festival site, Dockyards.

LooseFest

When: Saturday 5th - Sunday 6th August 2023

Where: Newcastle Town Moor in Newcastle

LooseFest returns to Newcastle's Town Moor for an incredible two-day festival this August alongside some of the biggest brands and best artists in the world! The festival, one of the North East's biggest, always treats the residents of the Toon to a weekend of banger after banger, from some of the best artists about.

This year, said artists include the likes of Chase & Status, Joel Corry, Patrick Topping, Craig David, Andy C, Sean Paul, and Example. With a lineup of this quality, you'd be silly to miss out, so secure those tickets below and go and get your groove on.

Piano People presents: Kelvin Momo

When: Friday 21st (Manchester), Saturday 22nd (London), Sunday 23rd (Birmingham) of April 2023

Where: Canvas in Manchester, HERE at Outernet in London, LAB11 in Birmingham

One of the pioneers of ‘Private School Amapiano,’ a subgenre of the Amapiano that incorporates jazz, deep house & lounge influences, over the last few years, the self-proclaimed Soulful King that is Kelvin Momo has been creating production mixes and churning out songs, earning him a reputation as a great producer.

His most recent project, Amukelani touched the people; being described worldwide as a spiritual experience. Most recently, Kelvin even received a shoutout from Drake. It is now time for Kelvin to head out across the Uk and bring this Spiritual experience to your doorstep, not to be missed.

Teletech Hardcore 

When: Saturday 27th May 2023

Where: Hidden in Manchester

Coming to the hallowed raving grounds of Manchester Hidden, is this 12-hour day and night rave of epic proportions by the groovy members at Teletech. With a hardcore edge, this event promises to bring the vibes, and with seasoned spinners like Azyr, Patrick Mason, and even a Gabba set from Cynthia Spiering, this night is going to be a celebration of all hardcore music that any fans of the high octane genre are going to be right up for.

MADE Festival

When: Saturday 29th July 2023

Where: The Digbeth Triangle in Birmingham

Since debuting in 2014, MADE Festival has become a cultural institution in the Midlands. Originally based in inner-city Birmingham the event has moved across a number of venues in the region and this year is back at the impressive Digbeth Triangle in the city for a day of heavy basslines, and even heavier bass faces. 

Featuring the usual blend of the region’s finest street food, street art displays, installations and live demonstrations, as well as world-class DJs and live acts, the 2023 festival is set to celebrate its ninth year with the biggest and most exciting production to date. Despite not having any names yet, previous editions have seen the likes of AJ Tracey, DJ EZ, Andy C, King of the Rollers, Shy Fx and many more. Basically, it's going to pop off.

RCADIA 23

When: Saturday 26th August 2023

Where: Lydiard Park in Swindon

End the summer with a bang, and dance under the summer sun with all your best pals to this multi-genre show in Swindon, featuring everything from drum n bass to r&b to electronic to techno to rap & dance. The likes of Sigma (DJ Set, Nathan Dawe, DJ Fresh, Darkzy & Window Kid, Alcemist, DJ Riddle, Eksman, Carasel & more will be performing, so you can have no qualms about the quality of the music.

Plus, alongside the tunes, the Swindon festival will be stacked full of quality bars, amazing local food vendors, and festival thrill rides that'll have those who've had a few clenching their stomachs; plus they'll be a whole host of street performers and walkabout caricatures to interact and take pictures with. Basically, you're gonna have a fab time and no one will be able to stop you.

PRTY Festival 2023

When: Saturday 10th June 2023

Where: Braehead Arena in Glasgow

This huge festival from the sensational team over at PRTY has sold out its presale in under 24 hours, and if that's any indication of how good this festival is going to be, then we (as you should) are going to be signed up to the general sale link in the box below, as it will sell out. Their lineup is out on tonight at 6pm, and the general sale will be the following Friday morning. 

The iconic Scottish boogie brand has never put an event on like this before, and with a cult following to the array of incredible nights they put on across the UK, those with tickets are obviously in the know about just how good this will be. Baptiste takes all of his crowds on an incredible journey of soul, rare groove, funk, disco and house and for this night in Bristol, he will be doing so all night long.

UKG Brunch - Summer Series

Where: Venues across London

UKG Brunch is one of the most popular brunch events in the capital and features regular sell-out brunch parties where everyone can scran, skank, and sink bevs to their heart's desire; with the whole event supplied tunes-wise by their excellent resident DJs.

This summer, the brand are putting on a special summer series, which features a range of rooftop and terrace parties, as well as some super exclusive boat parties on the Thames. These events look set to be extra special (particularly the boat parties as who doesn't love a maritime session), and we are almost certain that they will be selling out very quickly.
