Renowned Manchester clubnight Micron is set to return to its hometown for the first time since the 10th birthday celebrations in November of last year. The lauded brand will be going back to where it all started - Joshua Brooks (now renamed Versions) - the venue where Micron ran monthly parties for the first six years.

Philadelphia-born acid house hero Josh Wink is in the driving seat for the event on Friday 21st July, continuing with Micron's recent policy that all their headliners perform a minimum of 3 hours - Carl Craig, Ame, Magda, Derrick Carter and Michael Mayer can all be counted as artists who have done this in recent months.

Wink is most widely known for acid anthems 'Higher State of Consciousness' and 'Superfreak (Freak)', releasing on his own Ovum as well as much respected labels like R & S, Strictly Rhythm, and m_nus. He's just returned with the new techno bomb 'Resist' and will tour Europe over the summer, including appearances at Sven Vath's Cocoon Ibiza at Amnesia.

Under its previous name, Joshua Brooks won a series of awards including Manchester Evening News' 'Best Venue' as well as DJ Mag's 'Best Small Club'. As Versions, the venue's capacity has been increased along with the instillation of a brand new Void soundsystem.

Tickets for Micron are available below.
