Respected north west clubbing brands Micron and 909 are teaming up again to bring another huge name to Manchester for the first time, in the form of techno hot property Charlotte de Witte.
Charlotte will take over Gorilla on Friday 9 February for a special extended set, following Micron's policy of a three hour minimum. The Belgian producer and DJ has taken the techno world by storm over the past year. Her productions on the likes of Sleaze and Turbo and her technical, natural ability as a selector have seen her become one of the genre's most sought after names, not to mention landing her at no. 24 on DJ Mag's '100 Best House and Techno DJs' poll.
Micron are making a habit of introducing some of dance music's best new artists to Manchester, having been the brains behind the city debuts of the likes of Ben Klock and Heidi, as well as loads more. Joining them for a second time are 909, the Mancunian sister project of Liverpool institution 303. Responsible for booking the likes of Dave Clarke and Robert Hood, they are quickly establishing themselves as one of Manchester's most important brands.
The announcement follows on from the promoters' recent joint effort of bringing Andrew Weatherall and Ivan Smagghe to Gorilla for an incredible five hour back to back set back in October
