Man/Woman/Chainsaw announce debut album Cannonball with new single 'Nosedive'

Man/Woman/Chainsaw announce long-awaited debut album Cannonball and share pulsating new single ‘Nosedive’

Date published: 21st Apr 2026

London's art-rock sextet, Man/Woman/Chainsaw, have announced their long-awaited debut album, Cannonball, arriving August 7th via Fiction Records, with a brand new single, 'Nosedive', alongside.

A track with as much in common with dance-punk of New York as the art-rock of London, 'Nosedive' builds enchantingly around a central LCD-esque arpeggio, with wistful strokes of violin and pulses of dissonant guitar riffs, the track crescendos with an innate optimism, and is a statement of true intent from one of Londons most exciting bands, who keep getting better and better.

On the new track, Emmie-Mae, one of three vocalists in the band and lead on "Nosedive", said: “It's a song about longing for both comfort and freedom simultaneously in a relationship through the metaphor of being an injured bird needing shelter. We turned it into a danceable upbeat track, which made the tone shift throughout the song as though you find a way to pick yourself up and fly away.”

Across the 11-tracks of upcoming debut Cannonball, Man/Woman/Chainsaw 'burst forth with pure feeling: grand and exuberant, rich with unconventional structures and world-beating choruses... making good on the band’s years of hard touring while unearthing new dimensions and unlikely facets in their songwriting.'

Preorder the debut album now! Available on all streaming, as well as on eco-mix black vinyl, a limited edition berry coloured LP with signed insert and a Rough Trade exclusive blue & clear splatter edition LP paired with a bonus 7" available nowhere else.
