If you’re somehow still asking yourself what the best Manchester Pride events are across the August Bank Holiday, you’ve come to the right place. From the 27th to the 31st, you practically can’t move for Pride events, so we’ve rounded them up into one big guide to help you make a decision and make the most of your extended time off.
Of course, Manchester Village Pride is the big one. Returning as a community event under new leadership for 2026, it promises to be an absolute extravaganza, with big names like Cascada, DJ Sammy and Nadine Coyle appearing alongside some of Manchester’s finest local talent.

Best for: A party like no other
When: Thursday 27th – Monday 31st August 2026
Where: Canal Street, M1 3EZ
If Manchester Pride events were a ballroom house, then Manchester Village Pride would undoubtedly be the mother. The famed event returns to the city once again, taking over the Gay Village for four days of fun, frolics and celebration.
And you’ve got options, too. Soak up the atmosphere of the village amongst the drag queens and revellers, or head to the stages and party to the likes of Cascada, Kate Nash, Danny Beard, DJ Sammy and many more. Of course, it wouldn’t be a Pride party without the talents that make up Manchester’s local queer scene, and you’ll be able to catch them at Sackville Gardens. Our tip: kick off your Saturday with the parade, then head into the village and get amongst the celebration for the next few days.

Strapp Metal Presents: Teddy’s Retirement Party
Best for: A proper Pride warm-up
When: Friday 28th August 2026, 4pm-10pm
Where: Vada Vada in Manchester
Now, you might see the words ‘retirement party’ and think: hang on, it’s Pride? But Teddy’s Retirement Party at Vada Vada is going to be anything but traditional. So, leave the crinkled clobber in the back of the wardrobe – where, frankly, it belongs – and pick out something a little more fierce.
Things get going at 4pm, giving you six glorious hours to dance to the finest house, disco and electro. With Ginny Lemon on host duties, Bimini handling performance and Kiddy Smile, Meme Gold and Dan Louder all taking to the decks, we can’t think of a better way to kick off Pride.

Bruk Out x Fly Girls$ Pride Warm Up Party
Best for: Rhythm upon rhythm
When: Friday 28th August, 11pm-4am
Where: Off The Square in Manchester
We love house, disco and pop as much as the next person. But what if you want to get down to something with a bit more rhythm? Bruk Out and Fly Girls$ have you covered.
They’re taking over Off The Square for a Pride warm-up party on the Friday, and it promises to be an absolute banger. Expect R&B, amapiano, dancehall, gqom, ballroom and hip-hop sounds from 11pm til 4am, DJ sets from Chibby Lo, Sylky and Cam and special performances from the Bruk Out and Fly Girls$ crew. So, round up the group chat, get to Off The Square and two-step your way into Pride.

Best for: Big tunes without the mega-festival feel
When: Saturday 29th August 2026, 2pm-11pm
Where: KAMPUS in Manchester
Love Party is always an absolute scream. Taking place at the gorgeous KAMPUS neighbourhood, it’s a daytime affair. And with a lineup of the finest DJs from the city’s queer scene spinning tip-top house and disco all day, you can dance yourself silly under the gazebo, lounge at the seating area when you need a rest, refuel yourself with nearby Nell’s Pizza and then do it all again as day turns to night.
And seeing as you’re right across the road from the Gay Village, once 11pm rolls around, you’re perfectly placed to carry on the rest of the night if you’ve decided you’ve got energy to keep the party going. Plus, all ticket profits go to Trans Mutual Aid and the LGBT Foundation, so all your dancing and fun is going to a good cause. You can’t really argue with that, can you?

Best for: A Manchester queer nightlife institution
When: Saturday 29th August 2026, 10pm-4am
Where: Hidden in Manchester
There are club nights, and then there’s Homoelectric. The legendary queer party returns to Hidden for its annual August Bank Holiday knees-up, with resident DJs and none other than Wes Baggaley at the controls from 10pm til 4am.
So, if you’re looking to disappear into the four walls of a dark club, losing yourself to hypnotic beats and emerging as the sun comes up, you’ve found your spot. And let’s be honest: where better to do it than Hidden? Multiple rooms, a cracking courtyard and a stripped–back feel keep everything firmly on the music. Get those dancing shoes tied tight, because once Homoelectric gets going, there’s no chance you’re standing still until closing time.

Hello Darling – Manchester Pride Special
Best for: Three floors of queer joy
When: Sunday 30th August 2026, 11pm-5am
Where: The Deaf Institute in Manchester
Three floors of queer joy? Sign us up, please. Hello Darling has become a fixture of Manchester’s LGBTQ+ scene over the past year, so if you’ve been waiting for your chance to experience its vibe, now’s your chance.
Packed with colour and character, each floor of The Deaf Institute will have its own flavour. Head to the main room for house and nu-disco goodness, catch up-and-coming talent on the second floor and head down to the basement when you need a breather. It’ll serve as the designated chill-out zone, complete with low lights, music and even a queer art market. That’s without mentioning South Asian and Middle Eastern dance performances from House of Spice.

Best for: Sunday afternoon dancing
When: Sunday 30th August, 3pm-10pm
Where: Joshua Brooks in Manchester
Reckon you’ll still have room in the tank on Sunday for another round of partying? Of course you will. Manchester legends Supernature are bringing deep grooves, even deeper basslines, and some special guests to Joshua Brookes for a day party running from 3pm til 10pm.
So, if you don’t want to wait until midnight for a club to open, it’s a perfect spot, giving you seven hours to settle in and spend your Sunday dancing. And if you’re somehow still full of beans at 10pm, Manchester won’t exactly be short of places to carry on afterwards.

Queer women of Manchester, why settle for one night when you can make an entire weekend of it? Vanilla is going big for Pride this year, opening the doors at Area across the entire weekend.

Best for: Discovering the story behind the celebration

Whether you’re a history buff or looking for a change of pace over the Bank Holiday, the trail looks to be a fascinating look into the ever-important stories of the LGBTQ+ community in the city. You’ll probably walk past parts of Manchester you’ve seen countless times before, only to discover there’s far, far more to them than you realised.

Laugh Out Proud – Queer Comedy
Best for: A barrel of laughs

Where: Area in Manchester
Pride is already a joyous occasion, so why not add some belly laughs in there for good measure?
Laugh Out Proud returns over the Bank Holiday for a Manchester Village Pride edition, bringing you high-energy queer comedy courtesy of the scene’s finest talent. Doors open at 6:30pm, so get down early, grab a drink and settle down before the laughs get going! Just don’t blame us if your cheeks hurt by the end.

Pride Social and Speed Friending
Best for: Finding community
When: Sunday 30th August, 11:30am-12:30pm
Where: Tangerine in Salford
Pride isn’t all about endless partying and packed dancefloors. Sometimes a coffee and a good natter is exactly what you need.
This free LGBTQ+ coffee social and speed-friending session at Tangerine gives people from across the community the chance to meet new faces in a relaxed setting. So, if you’re new to the city, attending Pride solo, sober or fancy finding the community over coffee rather than thumping bass, it’s ideal. Things kick off at 11:30am on Sunday, so grab a brew or latte, pull up a chair and have some interesting conversations.
To See and Be Seen

Best for: Queer art, identity and visibility
When: Thursday 27th August – Saturday 31st October 2026
Where: HOME in Manchester
What does it mean to be seen? That’s what To See and Be Seen, the first solo exhibition from artist Conor Collins, explores at HOME.
Created in response to the Queer Up North archive, Collins uses painting, photography and archival material to explore identity, visibility and belonging. The exhibition runs throughout Pride weekend and is completely free, making it a perfect option for a few hours in between the partying.
Proud Fest 2026

Best for: A family-friendly Pride celebration
When: Saturday 29th August, 12pm-6pm
Where: Great Northern Warehouse in Manchester
Looking for somewhere to take the kids, nieces and nephews? Proud Fest is the place to be. Created by Proud 2 b Parents, it’s completely free, taking over Great Northern Warehouse on Saturday 29th for an afternoon of entertainment, music, creativity and family-friendly activities.
Inclusion is the name of the game here, with the space tailor made for LGBTQ+ families and their allies to meet and create memories with each other. Pride means different things to all of us, so bring the family down, soak up the atmosphere and enjoy a celebration built around community, diversity and everyone feeling welcome exactly as they are.
Grindr: The Opera
Best for: A night of outrageous laughs
When: Wednesday 26th – Saturday 29th August 2026
Where: 53Two in Manchester
Yeah, you read that right. Someone’s turned Grindr into an opera. And to be honest, there was no way we could leave it out.
You’ll find all the familiar tropes of the app represented here, except they’ve been put into the hyper-theatrical world of opera. Expect to cry with laughter, feel emotion, recognise plenty and above all, leave with fresh thoughts on the state of human connection. Its Manchester run finishes on the Saturday of Pride weekend, making it the most wonderfully ridiculous way to spend a few hours away from the village.
