Shame

When: Wednesday 8th March 2023

Where: Invisible Wind Factory in Liverpool

Having just released their fantastic new single 'Fingers of Steel', the first from their upcoming third record Food for Worms, Shame are well and truly back and ready to tear up the UK yet again with one of their coveted live shows. This tour is set to be their biggest yet and they are hitting up some proper special venues, but our choice of the lot is none other than the Invisible Wind Factory in Liverpool, mainly due to the killer sound system.

Following up Drunk Tank Pink is not an easy feat, but if the new single is anything to go off, they may just surpass it. So, make sure to grab your tickets soon so you don't miss out, there's no shame in it!

The Chemical Brothers

When: Saturday 9th September 2023

Where: Alexandra Head At Cardiff Bay in Cardiff

There is little left to say about the legendary electronic duo The Chemical Brothers. With their expansive, genre-defining catalogue of truly danceable hits including 'Hey Boy Hey Girl', 'Galvanise', and 'Block Rockin’ Beats' to name a few, there's absolutely no way that this show does anything but absolutely pop off.

Not only will the stage at Alexandra Had be headlined by the duo, but joining them will be the likes of 2manydjsHot Chip, and Erol Alkan. Yep, you read that right. This one will be an electronic feast for the ears that any genre fan simply can't miss out on.

Osees

Where: The Crossing in Birmingham

The genre-bending, moniker-shifting, musical eight train that is (currently) Osees, are heading out across the Uk for the tour of their brand new record A Foul Form in 2023, and for any fans of the band, or the record, its a must. Given the sheer musical putout of these guys - this is their 26th album! - this may be one of the few opportunities you get to hear the tracks off this record live! So make sure to secure your tickets early and not miss out. Oh, and did we mention? These San Fransico rockers put on one hell of a show!

The Luka State

When: Thursday 6th April 2023

Where: Tunnels Aberdeen in Aberdeen

Hailing out of Cheshire and touring their latest record More Than This, The Luka State are a band who aren't showing any signs of slowing down. The charismatic four-piece are one of the most exciting exports from the North West in recent years. Plus, the new brand of rock and roll showcased on their new record is infused with character and a direction we have not yet seen from the lads. This gig also notes a much-warranted return to the land of tartan and haggis, and given Scotland's love for all things rock and roll, we're sure the roof won't last long come the 6th of April.

Lowkey [Independent Venues Week]

When: Wednesday 1st February, 2023

Where: Hare And Hounds in Birmingham

Independent Venue Week never disappoints, and 2023 looks set to be no different. This time around, hardcore fans of UK Hip-Hop and Grime are in for a treat. Coming to the Hare and Hounds in Birmingham is legendary Uk rapper and activist, Lowkey. The rapper is well known for his politically charged raps which channel a punk ethos through a pure Hip-Hop sound, which is none more evident than on his coveted record - Soundtrack to the Struggle. He doesn't do shows often, so for fans of him or the genre, it's a can't miss date.

This trio of infectious beat and rap producers are coming together for a dope night of that real underground hip-hop that will have fingers in the air, and body moving. Coming to the grounds of the O2 Academy in Bristol and truly taking over, Jedi Mind Tricks, Immortal Technique, and RA Rugged Man will undoubtedly put on a show for the ages, and we can't think of much better ways to start off the year.

Circa Waves - Intimate Album Launch Matinée

When: Friday 10th February 2023

Where: The Cavern Club in Liverpool

There are few bands who defined the mid-to-late-2010s indie scene than Scouse legends Circa Waves. First making everyone pine for some T-Shirt Weather, then getting us all to wake up, tho later making us unsure if we were sad or happy, the band have been the soundtrack to many indie kids' life for the past few years. Now on their fifth record, the band are pulling things back a bit for one night and doing an intimate show at the world-famous Cavern Club to celebrate the release of their 5th album ''Never Going Under.'' We don't need to say any more on this, just get them tickets.

Brighton Indie rockers, Black Honey, are set to take over the shores of Southend for a night jam-packed with new tunes, mosh pits and guaranteed vibes. Casey Lowry

When: Wednesday 8 February, 2023

Where: The Ferret in Preston

In a time when the male guitar muse is idolised for his brooding mystique and ‘holier than thou’ behaviour, 23-year-old Casey Lowry is the genre’s perfect, fun-loving antidote. Alongside success on TikTok, for his oft-hilarious short musical reaction to content, the singer-songwriter has also found huge success for his live shows, having juts come off a sold-out UK tour. This chance to see him live is only made better when you realise it's at The Ferret, a struggling venue much in need of support and funding, so make sure to head down. As you won't just be seeing amazing music, but supporting local music venues too!
