Sofia Kourtesis releases new single 'Canela Pura'

Sofia Kourtesis' new music is based around euphoric beats and a homage to the LGBTQ+ community.

Sofia Kourtesis has returned with a new single titled 'Canela Pura', which will feature on her new EP Volver, which is set for release on 1st August. It'll be the first new full-length project from Kourtesis since her debut album Madres, back in 2023.

'Canela Pura' is packed with euphoria, with vibrant percussion and alluring, mysterious synthetic textures found throughout. The new EP as a whole, pays homage to the LGBTQ+ community. "In the Volver EP I am paying tribute to all the LGBTQ+ community and all the amazing trans women that I was lucky to meet through the course of the last few years. Their bravery and existence in a world full of hate and danger, they find a way to bring the lights to the most vulnerable communities, specifically those that are behind the walls of terrible corruption in the Latino America Security and Health System,” Kourtesis says.
