Monday morning rolls quickly back around. Seriously, where do those weekends go?

It might have gone unnoticed, given that our technological devices update themselves automatically these days, but the clocks went forward at 1 am on Sunday morning, meaning the days get longer with more sunlight for us to enjoy when we clock off from our 9 to 5's. Spring has most definitely sprung, dear friends.

With 1 hour deducted from your usual beauty sleep routine, we gather you're feeling pretty sluggish right now. The Skiddle office is certainly full of zombies this morning. So, to help put the pep back in your step and boost those lacking energy levels, we've collated a list of 10 epic events, recently announced on Skiddle, to give you something to look forward to and snap you out of your funk! 

This week's New On Skiddle roundup features full-tilt parties courtesy of some of the world's best event brands and live entertainers, including Elrow, Beenie Man, techno stallion T78 and Slapfunk. 

Shake off that lingering fatigue and start planning ahead for long days spent having it large underneath the spring and summer sun!

T78 #onlybombs Scottish Tour

When: Friday 28th April - Saturday 20th May 2023 (4 dates)

Where: Various venues in Scotland

Italian techno powerhouse and Autektone label founder, T78, aka Mr #onlybombs, will pack his bags, board a plane and journey to the land of the Scots this spring, taking on his first-ever tour of the northern nation through April and May. 

A veteran of the global techno scene, having been around for 4 decades, T78 remains one of the genre's most relevant and forward-thinking producers. Still hammering out club weapons in 2023, T78 has amassed a huge fan base with upwards of 600,000 regular listeners spinning his records on Spotify alone. Check out his latest release 'Monster Truck' featuring Maxie Devine in the video above.

Touching down in Scotland late next month, T78 will perform at The Tunnels in Aberdeen before hitting up Stirling's Fubar nightclub, Fat Sam's in Dundee and Edinburgh's premier clubbing destination, The Liquid Rooms throughout May.

Elrow presents Kaos Garden

When: Saturday 27th May 2023

Where: Blackstone Street Warehouse in Liverpool

Renowned Liverpool dance brand, CIRCUS, and the city's largest rave space, the Blackstone Street Warehouse, welcome one of the world's craziest and most fantastical touring parties over the Spring Bank Holiday this year.

Taking over the colossal venue, on Saturday 27th May, Spanish event specialists Elrow will present their enchanting music and art spectacle, Kaos Garden, the brainchild of Madrid-born painter and sculptor, Okuda San Miguel. Mimicking the scenes found in one of Miguel's favourite paintings - the Garden of Earthly Delights by Dutch painter, Hieronymus Bosch - the trippy decor and lineup of equally mind-bending performers will have you fully convinced that you've left our universe and travelled into another, to party within the widely celebrated triptych piece of art portraying hell, earth and paradise. 

More details regarding the full bill of artists set to perform at the upcoming event have yet to be announced. Watch this space.

Slapfunk Day & Night

When: Saturday 13th May 2023

Where: The Progress Centre in Manchester

Slapfunk Records head up to Manchester this May to throw a party you won't be forgetting in a hurry. Bringing an all-star line-up with them, Slapfunk Day & Night promises to kick-start your summer with a bang, setting the tone for a wild year of heady raving ahead.

Delivering only the funkiest vibes, those who get their hands on tickets can expect to hear expertly crafted sets from a host of next-level DJ names, all of whom are trained in the ways of keeping the party atmosphere at a maximum. Samuel Deep, Dr Banana, Laidlaw, Hamish & Toby and DouDou MDare are just some of the talents confirmed to take to the decks, to supply revellers with a mix of classic and contemporary dance anthems.

EuroClub 2023

When: Friday 5th - Saturday 13th May 2023

Where: Camp and Furnace in Liverpool

Eurovision fever will be in full force come May this year, when the international singing contest lands in Liverpool, the host city of this year's event.  

Taking over the world-famous port city from Tuesday 9th to Saturday 13th of May, the worldwide event will see performers flying in from France, Germany, Italy, Spain and Ukraine, the winners of last year's Eurovision, each of whom will put their talents on the line in hopes of getting their hands on the iconic glass microphone trophy. 

Running alongside the spectacle, EuroClub has announced a number of exciting shows taking place at live events space, Camp and Furnace, featuring recognisable names from past competitions. Those announced to appear across 9 events include previous winners such as Linda Martin and Charlotte Perrelli and other memorable contestants such as Jedward.

PALOMA. presents Roi Perez & Isabella

When: Friday 28th April 2023

Where: The Loft MCR in Manchester

Northern party pros, Paloma head back to Manchester venue, The Loft this April for another, proper knees up!

Taking punters on a journey through sound, the 5-hour-long experience will feature only the finest cuts in house, techno, breaks and trance spun by two of the scene's most in-demand selectors, Roi Perez and ISAbella.

Perez, the Israeli-born, Berlin-based DJ and Phonica Records ambassador, has become a go-to for those booking events inside the globe's biggest and most renowned clubbing destinations. Praised for his eclectic and lengthy performances, those present in Manchester on Friday 28th April can expect a real treat, with something to suit all tastes.

ISAbella, a leading name in Barcelona's burgeoning house scene and co-founder of the celebrated LGBTQ+ party, platform and collective, MARICAS, will also lend her expertise to proceedings, delivering even more variety through her record selections.

The Lofts presents Enzo Siragusa & Lauren Lo Sung

When: Friday 26th - Saturday 27th May 2023

Where: The Lofts in Newcastle Upon Tyne

Closing out the month of May at Newcastle clubbing hot spot, The Lofts, FUSE head honcho Enzo Siragusa and Liverpool's Queen of groove, Lauren Lo Sung have been asked to ensure that the Bank Holiday weekend is one that guests at the event will remember for years to come. 

Taking a dive into the deeper side of electronic music, the pair will each flex their skills behind the ones and twos, soundtracking an evening brimming with quality minimal house and tech house pearlers, from 10 pm until 3 am the following day. 

Offering audiences in the North East a taste of what goes down at his infamous parties in the UK capital, Siragusa will showcase his inimitable dance sound, built up of influences taken from 90s rave culture, whilst Lo Sung gets all Parisian, serving up a stripped-back set bursting with texture and warmth.

Official Pavilion Festival Afterparty

 

When: Saturday 29th April 2023

Where: Galvanizers SWG3 in Glasgow

The debut edition of Ewan McVicar's Pavillion Festival, held in his native Ayrshire, is fast approaching. Heading over the border and into Scotland's Southern Uplands for the county's first-ever electronic music festival are some of the dance music's most sought-after DJ names, including Skream, Kettama and Optimo. But what happens when the music stops and the stage falls quiet at the end of the event? An afterparty happens, of course! And a pretty mega one at that.

The official Pavillion Afterparty will see Ewan and a host of special guests going to work on the decks, smashing out banger after banger from 10 pm until 3 am on Sunday 29th April.

Raves of Longton 2 - The Return

When: Saturday 29th July 2023

Where: Aynsley Mill in Longton, Stoke-on-Trent

Acting upon the success of last year's soiree, with dance fans in the region basically demanding another instalment, Raves of Longton returns this summer for an epic all-day session at Stoke-on-Trent's Anynsley Mill. 

Revisiting the heavy nights ran out of Shelley's Laserdome and Longton Leisurebowl some 3 decades ago, the Back In The Day crew will present live DJ sets from some local heroes of the era, including Altern 8, Pete Bromley, Daz Willot, 'Lethal' Lee Fredericks and Mikey Worth. 

A Bank Holiday rave experience you really can't afford to miss out on should you live within the vicinity of the colossal warehouse venue. Reach for the lasers to the sounds of some of your favourite old skool anthems and retro house gems.

Digbeth Dining Club Summer Tour

Organisers behind one of the UK's premier independent street food events, Digbeth Dining Club have announced their 'Summer Tour of 2023' with more than 30 mouthwatering affairs confirmed to take place across The Midlands throughout the spring and summer months. 

The extensive run of food-centric gatherings will take over some of the region's most vibrant towns and cities including the beating heart of central England, Birmingham, and surrounding destinations, Warwick, West Bromwich, Stafford, Solihull, Redditch and Wolverhampton, to list just a few.

Beenie Man live in Birmingham

 

When: Saturday 12th - Sunday 13th August 2023

Where: Forum in Birmingham

Coming to England's second city this August, Jamaican dancehall legend and world-renowned DJ, Beenie Man will have partygoers moving and shaking to a score of recognisable reggae-tinged hits. 

Dubbed the 'King of Dancehall', Beenie man is without question one of the most prolific artists in the genre, having released a staggering 18 albums over 3 decades. The Grammy-award-winning act, whose back catalogue features well-known tracks the likes of 'Dude', 'Girls Dem Sugar', and 'Flow Natural', is still as prevalent in the scene today as he was when he first arrived.

Appeasing the needs of his close-to 4 million monthly listeners on Spotify, the icon released his latest single, 'Fresh', earlier this month with more music said to be in the pipeline. 

Catch the monarch of Jamaican dancehall in his element, on stage at the Forum in Birmingham later this year.
