Massive Attack confirm new music for 2026

From next year, the band plans to release “a cache of work created in the recent past".

Massive Attack have said they "will release a cache of work created in the recent past" from next year.

Posting on social media, the band have said they'll be releasing music "from next year", and that "tracks will be available physically and digitally via a new label". Their music will not be available on Spotify. 

Earlier this year, Massive Attack pulled all their music from Spotify, citing the platform’s CEO Daniel Ek’s investment in AI military drones, stating “the economic burden that has long been placed on artists is now compounded by a moral and ethical burden, whereby the hard-earned money of fans and the creative endeavours of musicians ultimately funds lethal, dystopian technologies.”

Other artists including Xiu Xiu, Cindy Lee, King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard, Deerhoof, and Godspeed You! Black Emperor have also removed their music from the streaming platform in protest of Ek’s AI military investment.
