Manchester Union Lager has announced that it will unleash a brand spanking new 'party beer' on the bevvy consuming public later this month, and to celebrate the grand occasion, they'll be hosting a very special shindig - in partnership with Skiddle - at a yet-to-be-disclosed location in Manchester's Northern Quarter.

The new beverage, a 4.2% Helles lager which goes by the name of 'Scenes', is described as a light, bright and refreshing beer, making it the perfect accompaniment for BBQ's, house parties, thirsty Thursdays or any other made-up circumstance that allows you to justify enjoying a couple of pints. #Pleasedrinkresponsibly.

Characterised by its golden colour, the beer undergoes a particular mashing process at Manchester Union's city centre brewery, where barley and malt enzymes convert grain starches into fermentable sugars, ensuring the end product remains full of refreshment.

Those lucky few who obtain tickets for the invite-only celebration, scheduled to take place on Wednesday 27th October, will be spoilt to a free bar serving the new thirst-quenching lager all night long, in addition to some top quality live entertainment.

Chimpo and Nanny Banton AKA John Goodwin and Mike Pollitt will take to the decks on the night, spinning some of the finest cuts in '90s garage, hip hop, jungle, soul and more. Expect to witness some absolute scenes (Shameless pun. We had to. Sorry).

Fancy getting yourself into this exclusive soiree? Head over to the Manchester Union Brewery website and put your name on the guestlist. It's a simple as that! Those who successfully gain entry will be notified by 5 pm on Tuesday 26th October. Good Luck!
