We hope you're ready for summer as we have some events that are perfect for a warmer climate including Chorley Flower Show. There are a lot of laughs in this week's Days Out With Skiddle too, with comedy shows from across the UK and some top-quality food and drink for you to enjoy too. Chorley Flower Show

When: Friday 28th- Sunday 30th July

Where: Astley Park, Chorley

The annual Chorley Flower Show takes place in July and you'll be able to see award-winning displays that will delight your senses. There will be talks from celebrity gardeners, multiple trade stands and plenty of entertainment including tribute acts. There will be plenty of inspiration for you to take home with you.

 

 


 

Wolverhampton Dining Club

When: Saturday 27th May

Where: West Park, Wolverhampton

Brought to you by Digbeth Dining Club, this is part of a series of events where they're going on tour and Wolverhampton will be one of the destinations. They'll be setting up with a range of traders who will bring you tastes from around the world. There will be a huge social area for you to spend a day eating quality food and drink.

 

 


 

Comedy takeover At Liverpool Irish Centre

When: Friday 23rd June

Where: Liverpool Irish Centre, Liverpool

This stand-up comedy night will feature a headline performance from Kay Nicholson, an up-and-coming Scouse performer who is surely set to make an impression. She'll be joined by other names such as Ethan Madds, Alex Tighe and Emerson Young and on hosting duties will be Mark Devine.

 

 


 

Bleak Expectations

When: Wednesday 17th May- Friday 11th August

Where: Criterion Theatre, London

Based on an award-winning radio series by Mark Evans, this theatre show takes you on a joyfully anarchic journey across Victorian London. You'll follow Pip Bin through a journey where he becomes wrapped up in conspiracies and mistaken identities, with a special guest playing the role of The Narrator each week.

Summer Opening Party!

When: Friday 26th May

Where: Jacobs Roof Garden, Cardiff

Jacobs Roof Garden will soon be open for the summer season and to welcome in this special time of year they are throwing an opening party where a live DJ will be on the decks to set the tone for the day. Come and relax on their rooftop where you will get stunning views of Cardiff.

 

 


 

Bank Holiday Family Fun Day

When: Saturday 27th May

Where: Propyard, Bristol

Propyard's family fun days have been huge successes so far and the next one will be taking place on Saturday 27th May on a bank holiday weekend. There will be a wide range of entertainment for your young ones to enjoy from bouncy castles to storytelling and DJs, this will be a feel-good day.

 

 


 

Closeup Comedy in Coventry With Helen Bauer

When: Saturday 10th June

Where: The Box at Fargo Village, Coventry

Closeup Comedy is bringing four huge talents to Coventry in June. Huge personality Helen Bauer will be taking to the stage as well as Freddy Quinne and Simon Wozniak, who definitely pulls no punches. The incredibly sharp Mike Cox will also be performing in what looks like a very tempting evening.

 

 


 

Clinton Baptiste: Roller Ghoster!

When: Friday 31st May 2024

Where: Old Fire Station, Carlisle

We hope you're ready for a whirlwind tour of a comedy show as Clinton Baptiste touches down in Carlisle. The clairvoyant from Peter Kay's Phoenix Nights will be trying to commune with those lost spirits and he'll have plenty of tales to tell of his interesting career to date.
